EPL predictions for Liverpool vs Tottenham
My best bet:
Under 3.5 (+123 at TonyBet)
My analysis
Sunday’s final Premier League between Liverpool and Tottenham is a game that neither team can lose. Liverpool’s charge for a second and final Premier League title for Jurgen Klopp isn’t quite dead but it’s on life support, and the Reds need to pick up three points here. Meanwhile, the Spurs are on the outside looking in when it comes to finishing in the fourth spot and sealing Champions League action next season with Aston Villa clear of them. The can’t-lose nature of this game is something that could result in this matchup being very tight.
The bookies are expecting a lot of goals here, with Over 2.5 goals as short as -371, and Over 3.5 goals still odds-on at -145. It’s easy to understand why given that these are high-scoring teams, with Liverpool being the league’s third-highest scorers and the Spurs in sixth. Neither side is great defensively and Over 2.5 goals has landed in 65.7% of Liverpool games and a huge 79.4% of Spurs’ games. However, the market looks to have gone too far with the pricing of goals and Under 3.5 goals at +123 feels like the value play.
Neither Liverpool or Tottenham are in great form, with both teams winning just one of their past five in the Premier League. Liverpool have fumbled spectacularly, having held the lead in the title race, while Spurs have been found out, losing three on the spin. These are two dressing rooms in which confidence will be lacking, and now they come into a situation in which they cannot lose. Those aren’t the ideal conditions to breed a high-scoring game and we could see something far from what the books expect.
It's often better to go against the grain when the markets are heavily skewed one way and this feels like one of those opportunities. We’re taking the Under on a high total with 3.5 and if you look back at Liverpool’s past four games at home, we’ve seen three or fewer goals on three occasions. Likewise in the Spurs’ past four away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they’ve had four goals just once.

Liverpool vs Tottenham same-game parlay (SGP)
In addition to our best bet we’re also adding Mohamed Salah to score. If anyone is to score in this game then it’s likely to be the Egyptian. He’s scored 23 goals for Liverpool this season with 17 in 29 Premier League games. He hasn’t scored in his past three games but has a good opportunity against a Spurs team with their two first choice left backs out injured.
We’re also backing 31-year old Wataru Endo to commit a foul in this game. He’s averaged 1.6 fouls per game for Liverpool in the Premier League and that average should continue here.
