Don't really want to have anyone boxed as I don't think it really does any good. Marnypoly already was boxed since Rizzo warned him to cut it out, but in his case, it shows boxing doesn't do any good. I doubt it will do anything for the any of the others either, so I'm not sure how you want to handle it at this point.

If I need to file defamation charges against specific members, then I'll go that route if the whole "you're not who you say you are" stuff continues. Attack my posts and I'm fine with that as long as it's sports relevant, but attacking my identity is pointless and clogs up my blogs/columns.

I'm a paid writer for the website. If you spread a false opinion of me online, it's no different than doing it in-person---as a matter of fact, it's worse in the eyes of the law. Online is written whereas in person is spoken and can easily be refuted.

The point is: cut the crap. It's pointless and has nothing to do with sports betting. If I were a guy, I wouldn't be dealing with all this extra stuff. Right? So treat me with respect. Is it that hard?

If you don't like me or have whatever problem it is that you have with me, then don't read my columns or blogs. The End.

Sarah, from an outsiders point of view (I dont post in your threads and have only read two of your articles) you come across very arrogant and sarcastic. Maybe the crowd here has soured your attitude a bit, and I can surely understand that, but when you came out I believe your first article title was something to the effect of "Sarah knows more about sports betting than you do" which imo really was a bad way to "introduce" yourself to Covers, basically showing up saying "Im better than everyone."

I read that article and the one about burning pictures of players who moose you and I formed my own opinion of you from that and hence why I dont post in your threads. But after reading some of your threads in the help forum I really think you feel youre getting heat you dont deserve and thats just not the truth, sorry to say but you kinda deserve all of it.

Your whole premise of what makes you "different" and somewhat "appealing" to the avg sports bettor is that your supposedly a woman. But then youre always playing the "If I wasnt a girl you guys wouldnt act like this." Well yes but if you werent a girl noone would really read your threads either, at least not anywhere near the volume of people that are now and thered be nothing "special" about you at all, just another sarcastic, arrogant poster on Covers.

If you were a proven commodity, which you absolutely are not, then i could understand the arrogance but basically you show up, noone knows who the hell you are yet you act all high and mighty and that we should all be lucky to converse with you. Plus you run to the box everytime someone hurts your feelings as you yourself dish out more thinly veiled insults as you do. Then also you spew this nonsense about "defamation suits" and the "I dont lie and say your all good looking guys in real life."

The defamation stuff is utterly hilarious. You cant sue someone for their opinion (regardless of what you think you know). If that was the case every single president could sue 95% of newspaper writers from the beginning of time. Lance Armstrong would be suing the world, its just all nonsense and really makes you look immature and like a little girl thats gonna go cry to daddy. Also, trying to crack on how some of the guys here look like in real life really isnt a wise move either considering your last few avatar pics of yourself are not very flattering pics.

This post probably comes across as another "F%CK SJP post" but its not. I actually think the "idea" of you on Covers is a great one. There are probably tons of dudes on here every day just dreaming about finding themselves a sports betting chick and you keep that dream of theirs going by posting daily. But by acting as arrogant and sarcastic as you do youre bringing even more heat on you than you'd have already.

 

A few suggestions from myself to you, do with them as you wish but honestly these suggestions are 100% sincere :

1) Post a YTD daily, not up 18-ish units or "man were doing well." If you want to be respected as a capper and not just get attention cuz youre female this is your first move in that direction

2) When the haters bash you either just fire right back at them or ignore them but crying to the mods (and even telling them exactly how to handle it) just makes you look weak. You try to act superior but then you cry to mommy and daddy when someone is mean to you. Also, theres wayyyyyy too many dipshits on this site and no thread-by-thread mod supervision to ever stop all of it. The problem for you though is if all the dipshits were gone you wouldnt have quite the following you do either so its a fine line. All the dipshits are what makes this site have all the volume, but its also what makes all the regular bettors wanna leave. You, or anyone else, will never make the haters disappear here, like I said theres too many of them and not enough mod interaction for that ever to happen

3) Also, if you dont like all the lame come-ons and inappropriate jokes then stop posting pics of yourself. You come on to a forum where the avg poster is a 20 yr old guy and start posting pics of course its gonna turn into what it has. Remember, youre getting paid to write these articles because youre a woman, not because your a superior sports bettor, the sooner you realize this then the haters wont bother you so much, just consider it part of the job, this is what makes you different. Without the vagina youre just another sarcastic and arrogant poster so quit fighting it. You know damn well thats the truth so take advantage (even moreso than you are) of the fact youre a woman instead of acting like its a curse here and that "Im only getting ripped cuz Im a female."

 

In closing if your main goal here is to promote yourself and interact with other sports bettors then I wish you the best. But as an outsider I can see a few reasons why youre constantly being trolled in your threads (you would be trolled as well regardless of who you are, but the fact youre supposedly a woman just multiplies it by 20). Youve got to have very thick skin to make it here as this site is more infested with dipshits than any other messageboard Ive ever been on, but also no other sports betting boards volume comes close to Covers so you gotta take the good with the bad.

Post a YTD, be up $, and then when guys talk shit just reply with your YTD, thats the ultimate comeback

I don't mind bashers and people "not liking me." My highest rated column had 11-12K unique viewers---not F5'ers, but UNIQUE viewers. So, when I take heat from 35-50 posters, or the loud minority, it doesn't bother me. That's a great percentage of reads. From what I've been told, 50% is a great ratio, so I can increase my negative poster count by almost 6000 and be fine. Staggering, yeah?

Now, if you spread rumors about me being a male and it costs me job opportunities or compensation from Covers, then that is defamation---I'm losing money over a false rumor, make sense? If you cost me money, then I'll get the money from you. I'm not talking about the douchebags that say "Suck a d*ck SJP." That's pointless and it doesn't bother me.

Every bettor is arrogant to some extent. Every poster has bashers. The only ones that don't are the ones who are too irrelevant to be noticed. Have you not figured that out yet?

I enjoy Covers for the analysis of picks. I think analysis breads conversation and can potentially stem profits. I've learned a lot of information from posters in my threads who bring forward great information. The old saying, "two heads are better than one" is true. I've profited off other peoples analysis and finding ways to interpret their data myself.

I'm not here to boast about profits or anything of that nature. I'm a columnist. I talk about my experiences both good and bad. If you want Covers Experts, they can be found on the home page, too. That's not my job.

I'm overly sarcastic and if that's not your cup of tea, then you can have orange juice in another thread/blog/column. We have a wonderful selection of writers here at Covers.
