One of the PGA Tour’s biggest stars, Justin Thomas, has signed a partnership agreement with Fanatics Sportsbook ahead of the 2024 PGA Championship.
Thomas is a two-time winner at the PGA Championship and now returns to his home state of Kentucky to compete at Valhalla Golf Club for a third win at this major.
Partnership details
Thomas’ role as an official sports betting partner of Fanatics Sportsbook will include highlighting new product enhancements, as well as creating social content and engaging with the Fanatics community for the next year.
Some of these new product revisions include data visualization available within the Fanatics Sportsbook app for iOS and Android mobile devices, with a live event center that includes shot-by-shot data, leaderboard tracking, and course maps.
Fresh enhancements
Another new feature at Fanatics Sportsbook, the Odds Factory, relies on Banach Technology to provide robust golf offerings, such as an increase in betting markets. This also includes faster wager placement and settlement speeds.
Registered customers at Fanatics Sportsbook will soon be able to stream select Par 3 holes within the mobile app, while a PGA Championship promotional offer allows users to opt-in and place a qualifying cash wager on any golfer to win outright to participate in FanCash for Birdies.
For every birdie that a golfer makes in Round 1, Fanatics Sportsbook provides FanCash, which can be converted into bonus bet credit or used as in-store credit to purchase merchandise from the Fanatics.com store.
Thomas spoke on his new partnership with Fanatics, stating, “I am excited to be the first official partner of the Fanatics Sportsbook. Whether it’s football, basketball, or golf, I’m a big sports fan. So I’m looking forward to getting involved in the world of Fanatics and engaging with their customers.”
Ari Borod, Chief Business Officer at Fanatics Betting and Gaming, a subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings Inc., which is a global digital sports platform, also spoke on their partnership with Thomas:
“Justin Thomas is one of the biggest names in golf and an amazing ambassador for the game. With him coming home to Kentucky to try to win his third PGA Championship, the Fanatics family couldn’t be more excited to partner with him.”
