Ravens touchdown pick: Zay Flowers
Heading into Sunday Night Football, we still see Zay Flowers on the injury report but I’m confident we’ll see him suit up. The Baltimore Ravens certainly need him and he’s been lights out this season, with two touchdowns in three games. He had a stellar performance against the Titans, hauling in eight of 10 targets for 118 yards and a TD.
He was targeted on 33% of his routes run this past week, which shows just how often he’s the first look for his QB. Sadly that QB won't be Lamar Jackson this week but regardless of that he's a solid play here. He leads his team in red zone targets this season, despite missing Week 2.
Falcons touchdown pick: Drake London
We’re over a month into this new NFL season and Drake London is yet to find the endzone but given the volume that he’s getting, it’s coming closer. He’s had 26 targets through the first four games of the year and he seems to be developing a chemistry with Michael Penix Jr.
Last week he had a 30% target share in the win over the Saints, in addition to making up 43% of the team’s entire receiving yards. Bijan Robinson might be the player most likely to score but at plus money it’s London who offers the value.
First touchdown scorer pick: Derrick Henry
A deep look at Derrick Henry’s numbers shows a player who might have age catching up on him but in this Ravens’ offense it doesn’t matter because his volume is just so high. He’s averaged over 22 carries a game, as well as some action in the passing game too. When the team are in the red zone, then expect Henry on the field, as evidenced by 23 carries in the RZ already this year.
He's now racked up an incredible seven touchdowns, tied for the most in the NFL and crucially has opened the scoring in 50% of his games, including last week’s victory over the Titans.
Long-shot touchdown pick: Matt Hibner
When I’m looking for a longshot I want somebody who could be set to see an increase in his role. I’ve been hugely impressed by Matt Hibner, who the team selected in the fourth round of this year’s NFL Draft. He’s had five targets in three games this season, and found the endzone in Week Three against the Cowboys.
He’s looked better each week, and last time out managed 34 yards on just two catches. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed three TDs in four games to tight ends and with Hibner looking like a strong backup to Mark Andrews, as well as being on the field in two-TE sets, he is the pick here.
Ravens vs Falcons touchdown combo
The two premier pass catchers for both teams are the way I'm constructing my combo here. Flowers is close to joining that elite band of wideouts, while London is getting big volume and the touchdowns should begin to follow suit.
