The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers are two of the Top 5 scoring teams in the playoffs, so there's a good chance we could see some goals in Game 1 of their second-round tilt. It wasn’t an exceptional series for Rangers’ winger Chris Kreider against the Capitals, but it didn’t need to be as New York broomed Washington out of the postseason.

Kreider finished 18th in scoring with 39 goals in the campaign. He tallied twice and finished Round 1 with three points. He should be more involved in this series..Krieder has two goals and three points in the last three games against the Carolina Hurricanes and has registered at least a point in nine of the last 13 in this matchup.

Carolina will likely be focussing a lot of attention on New York’s other left-winger, Artemi Panarin, who was also quiet in Round 1 when he managed only three points.

On the other side, the postseason was just an extension to the end-of-year scoring run from Carolina’s Seth Jarvis, who was the Hurricanes’ leading scorer in the first round, picking up three goals and seven points in five games against the Islanders.

Jarvis had goals in Games 4 and 5, and a couple of three-point efforts throughout that series. To close out the regular season, Jarvis had eight goals and 10 points in the last eight games, part of a career year for the third-year man, who finished with 33 goals and 67 points.

Let’s wrap this SGP with veteran Mark Stone, who has fit right in after jumping off long-term injured reserve and into the playoffs. He's tied for the Vegas Golden Knights lead in goals with three while logging the fourth-most ice-time among Vegas forwards in this series at over 18 minutes a game.

Stone potted an empty-netter in Game 6 to ice the win for the Golden Knights, making it two straight games he’s picked up a goal in this series.

He’s not a stranger to delivering in series-clinching scenarios. In last year’s cup run, he was on the board in Round 1’s clincher against the Oilers with a goal and two assists. He also netted a hat trick to wrap up the Stanley Cup in Game 5 against the Panthers.

It's worth taking a flier on Stone's ability to show up in big games for the Golden Knights.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each of game on Sunday's playoff slate:

Hurricanes vs Rangers same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

Hurricanes moneyline

Backing up Carolina’s efficient blue line is Andersen, who should be able to keep up with Shesterkin. Andersen has been nearly flawless since returning to the crease in March, posting a 13-2 record with a dominant .938 SV% and 1.63 GAA.

If the goaltending battle is a wash, then the Canes are likely to be in a great spot. This postseason, they rank higher than New York, at 5-on-5, in xGF/60, xGA/60, and expected goal differential per 60 minutes.

Golden Knights vs Stars same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 5.5

Adin Hill Under 2.5 goals allowed

Jonathan Marchessault Over 2.5 shots on goal

In just his second start of the series, Adin Hill made 23 saves for the shutout — his first since November — to take Game 6 and force this finale. Hill has a short but stout playoff resume. In 18 appearances, he’s allowed two goals or less 10 times, and Vegas has yet to lose when that happens.

Jonathan Marchessault leads the Golden Knights in shots on goal in the series, with 20 shots through six games, and has crossed his shot total four times.
