The Florida Panthers look to even up their series against the Boston Bruins in Game 2 on Wednesday night, while the Vancouver Canucks host the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of their second-round series.

The number of games per night is dwindling, but there are still plenty of props to choose from for some parlay action in the NHL tonight.

Here are my best NHL picks for Wednesday, May 8.

NHL playoffs parlay picks May 8

  • Reinhart Over 3.5 shots on goal + Draisaitl Over 1.5 points + Oilers moneyline (+516 at bet365)

Best NHL parlay picks for Wednesday

NHL parlay pick

Sam Reinhart Over 3.5 shots on goal

Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 points

Oilers moneyline

Florida Panthers winger Sam Reinhart has been a one-man shooting gallery in the playoffs. He's tied for the lead with 29 shots on goal in just six games — Wyatt Johnston picked up his 29th shot in his eighth game last night. Reinhart had 23 shots in the Panthers’ five-game triumph over the Lightning and recorded six shots on goal in Game 1 against the Bruins.

Reinhart has gone Over 3.5 shots on goal in five of the six games this postseason, with the lone Under coming in Game 3 when he still had five shot attempts. He’s put up nine shot attempts in each of the past two games, with a total of 11 shots on goal. The Panthers are looking to even up the series against the Boston Bruins, and Reinhart should keep firing away.

Boston is allowing 31.8 shots per game this postseason, which is just shy of the Lightning’s 32 shots per game in the first-round matchup.

I'm turning to the later game for the final two legs of my parlay as the Edmonton Oilers are in Vancouver to open up their second-round series. The Oilers are big favorites in the series at as high as -250, yet only between -130 and -140 here in Game 1.

Yes, the Vancouver Canucks did sweep the regular-season series, but three of those games came on November 6 or earlier, and Connor McDavid missed Vancouver’s 3-1 win on April 13. The playoffs should be a different story.

The Canucks clawed their way past the Predators in the first round despite some lackluster offensive efforts. That’s not going to get it done against this high-powered Oilers team.

Leon Draisaitl has turned it on in the playoffs with 10 points in five games, including four multi-point contests. It’s not like he was lacking in the regular season, though, with 106 points in 81 alongside McDavid.

There tend to be more penalties called early on in the series, and that should greatly benefit Draisaitl and the Oilers. Edmonton went 9-for-20 on the man advantage in the first round, with Draisaitl racking up seven PP points.

Today's NHL same-game parlay picks

Our betting experts have scoured through today's NHL odds to find your best SGP bets for each game on Wednesday's playoff slate:

Bruins vs Panthers same-game parlay (SGP)

Jeremy Swayman Over 30.5 saves

Sam Reinhart Over 3.5 shots on goal

Hampus Lindholm Over 1.5 blocked shots

There has been a consistent uptick in shots and attempts from Panthers winger Sam Reinhart as he’s asserted himself as more of a shoot-first scorer this season. He’s registered four or more shots in nine of his past 10 games dating back to the regular season and has paced the Cats in shots (29) and attempts (45) during the postseason.

Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm blocked six shots in the series opener, and his defensive role positions him for more blocks in Game 2, including averaging 2:53 of shorthanded ice time per game in the playoffs. Additionally, Lindholm has 39.67 defensive zone starts per 60 with a 41.6 CF% at 5-on-5 on the road in the postseason compared to 28.79 D-zone starts per 60 and a 46.5 CF% at TD Garden.

Oilers vs Canucks same-game parlay (SGP)

Mattias Janmark anytime goalscorer

Oilers moneyline

Vancouver team total Under 2.5

The Mattias Janmark goal is giving this SGP the biggest odds but this SGP has a lot of outs and I wouldn't be surprised to see this Vancouver offense continue to struggle after scoring just two goals over the last two games of their opening-round series.

Silovs could give up five goals tonight and I also wouldn't be surprised. I'm big on the Oilers tonight and am crossing my fingers that Janmark contributes on that top line.
