Betting on MLB futures

Making a futures bet in baseball means wagering on an event that will happen sometime later in the year. The most popular futures market in the MLB is betting on which team will win the World Series. Other common baseball futures markets include the AL and NL pennants as well as player awards like who will win the MVP and the Cy Young.

Futures odds above are listed in American odds format. For example, a $100 wager at odds of +700 would profit $700 if it wins. Use our odds calculator to see how much you could win at different odds. You can also switch the odds format to decimal or fractional from the Odds Settings button at the top-right of the page.

World Series Odds

Baseball bettors love making a wager on which team they think will win the World Series. This futures market opens at sportsbooks as soon as the previous World Series finishes and remains open until a champion is crowned the next season. Odds will fluctuate throughout the year but once you make a futures bet, the odds at which you make that wager are locked in until the event concludes.

The L.A. Dodgers (+225) are the preseason favorites to win the 2020 World Series, followed closely by the New York Yankees (+325). Follow along as the odds change throughout the season with our World Series futures odds above.

American League pennant odds

Betting on the American League pennant means to place a wager on which team you think will represent the AL in the World Series. This team will need to win two playoff series — the American League Divisional Series (ALDS) and the American League Championship Series (ALCS) — to win the AL pennant.

To see the current odds to win the AL, simply select 2020 American League Pennant from the dropdown above the odds table.

National League pennant odds

Betting on the National League pennant means to place a wager on which team you think will represent the NL in the World Series. This team will need to win two playoff series — the National League Divisional Series (NLDS) and the National League Championship Series (NLCS) — to win the NL pennant.

To see the current odds to win the NL, simply select 2020 National League Pennant from the dropdown above the odds table.
