Becuase it would sell. I answered this question when you asked it the first time. It wouldn't have solid in Vegas. COULD have been huge in AC, but Diaz would basically be fighting in Malignaggi's backyard. Diaz/GBP/HBO offered the fight under their terms to Malignaggi. He accepted, and lost. He basically got the biggest payday he could for a loss. He knew he would get screwed, but he took the biggest cash to get fucked.

Very well put, it's boxing politics the more marketable fighter gets more money and the judges score card. Just the way it works.
Paulie has nothing to be ashamed of, he fought an almost perfect fight, but he knew if he didn't get a KO he was never getting a decision.
He bitched about it before hand, and after wards. This happens when you have NO punch, you're NOT in demand where as Diaz even though he stunk up the joint is in demand. (I pretty much think Diaz is finished and the final nail in his coffin will be in his next fight).
Boxing Politics, heck even we're guilty of it ourselves, we wouldn't want to see Paulie fight either lol.
Excellent response walk.

Right on WTL Paulie knew the outcome would be against him,
last night was a joke the 118 110 card made me mad at boxing. A sport i love going in the shitter by the second. I find my self more and more into UFC and WEC fights especially for betting at least you pick the better fighter and are right at least you win. in boxing you gota remember the promotor, location, and the network broadcasting the fight. Then figure out who should win. Last night was a bad night for boxing, although only the real diehards know that because the rest stopped watching a while ago.
