Abraham vs Andre Ward

My friend is dropping 300$ on abraham with a +380. Any chance that he'll win?! I dont know too much about boxing but i would love to take his bet :)

I thought he is a much bigger underdog than that? I dont see him winning though, he has no head movement and Ward is too quick for him.

The only problem  that not too many people know is he will be the crowd favorite. His nationality is Armenian and he's playing at home depot center which is 30 minutes away from Glendale where there is 200,000+ Armenians. I have 20 friends that are going to support him and I expect the whole stadium to be filled with them. I'm kind of worried that he might have a chance due to that factor..

This will only be a problem for Ward if ,,,The Crowd is allowed to join the fight.   Ward will probably throw 10 punches before Arbraham even thinks of throwing 1. I always thought of Abraham as being among the top 10 in overrated boxers of the last decade. He can punch a little but sleep walks through 3/4 of most fights. His Chances? Land a super lucky shot. That should be about it.

Ahh.. i still dont feel confident in taking it for some reason.You never know what the fuck can happen in boxing...

If Ward decides not to box & slug it out from rd 1 on, (Something I'm almost positive he will not do) then (of course) Abraham could get in that lucky hay-maker. Other then that... I just don't see him being competitive in this bout. But in boxing (as you state) Anything is possible. GLTU!

I honestly think ward is a top 5 pound for pound boxer in the world right now...Putting money on Abraham is not worth it.  If I were to do anything it would be the over in rounds as Ward is a great boxer with little knockout power and will win a lopsided decision.

Abraham has no prayer in this fight.  Zero.  That said laying -600 is dumb.  The play is Ward -15.5 pts handicap at -115.  Any ITD winner is a win, as well as 117-111, 117-111, 116-112 cards.  NO WAY the fight is any closer than that on the cards. 

I dont believe Ward will go for the KO, I believe he will do what he has to do to win the rds and then get out of harm's way.  He knows AA's only chance is by 1 punch KO so he wont stay in the pocket all night.  He will fight inside but not all night long...he has to be respectful of the fact that AA is capable of ending this fight in a split second so he wont go to war with Abraham, he will just box his balls off.

I could see a cut stoppage due to a headclash at some point after Rd 8 tho...so if this ends inside the distance I believe it will be due to some BS like that, or an AA DQ late out of frustration....

$500 to win $430 on this wager, as well as a $50 poke on Ward in Rds 7-12 at +781.

Easy cash tonight.

I wish that pts handicap was around a month ago when I did all my parlays....instead of having Ward -600 and the over 9.5 at -300 I'd be looking at juicier payouts and not have to sweat the fight going over the 9.5...

I am very wary of Ward's head cutting up Abraham...thats really my only concern as far as the over rds prop goes.

So you need 2 117-111's and a 116-111.  Basically you need 3 cards having Ward winning 9-3...-16.5 is almost the same as -17.5

Thanks for the easy cash, 5Dimes.  That pts handicap should've been -20.  They, and every other book for that matter, also has the Hopkins-Pascal line wrong.  I thank you very much for the +209 on Hopkins by DEC...

I took 150$ of the bet so worked out for me at the end. Didn't really give a fuck that abraham lost.. I think he was bound to loose..
