What has Collazo done? He looked decent against Hatton, but still lost (and welterweight is obviously no good for Hatton). I can't bet on Collazo in this fight at any price. I think Berto got a little complacent when he was grinding out wins on ESPN2. Since he's moved to HBO and the big stage, he's been awesome. The real drama in this fight will be whether or not Berto can stop him.

The undercard just got f'ed up. I was really looking forward to the Joe Greene/Sergio Martinez scrap. Greene pulled out though with kidney stones. Anthony Thompson will probably step in. Might still be a good fight.

collazo fought twice in 2008...his last fight was 3 months ago how is that inactive. not that i think he has a shot.
if berto fights aggressively, i think he'll stop collazo...
Both the guys he fought last year were absolute cans, and overall he's fought 3 times in 2 years. I don't think I'm going out on a limb by calling him inactive.

just because he didn't fight tough fights doesn't make him "inactive". you can say he's been fighting bums... but inactive for someone that just fought 3 months ago...doesn't apply.

just a difference in a opinion...not want to start an argument over it...i got a fucking ear infection that's killing me head and makin me irritable..
LOL, I feel your pain trust me. My family went on vacation for a week after Christmas and the house we rented for the week had a hot tub on the back porch. Well, I've seen plenty of hot tubs in the past, but apparently this was a special bacteria filled one. Guess it had seen plenty of action in the past, if you know what I mean. Got back from vacation and my right ear starts hurting, this was the beginning of one of the worst five day spans I have ever experienced. Had to go to the doctor twice, the first to get diagnosed with an inner ear and outer ear infection and get on meds; the second to get something inserted in my ear to open it up after my ear canal completely shut so much that the ear drops would just fall out after you put them in. My jaw around my ear swelled up to about the size of a baseball before the swelling finally stopped. I had the De La Hoya post Manny look going on. Today was the first day I have actually felt semi normal. So again I feel your pain, that's the first ear infection I have ever had and I don't want a second experience for as long as I'm here on earth. I had no idea it could get that bad. I will definitely think twice before going under in a hot tub again, seemed like there was plenty of chlorine and there was even a tablet bobbing in it, but that must have been a lethal strain of bacteria. Sorry to get off boxing, but I had to complain to someone other then my wife.

Yeah, that was a big blow to the card. Probably would have been the best semi-main event in recent Boxing After Dark history. I was ready to back Martinez against the green Greene. Greene will be Thompson IMO. Big letdown.

As for the Berto-Collazo fight, I agree the odds are a bit too wide, but I think Berto wins, probably via decision. Collazo will be able to hit him cleanly, but I just don't think he has the power to hurt him.

Don't fret, Martinez/Santos just got added to the Mayorga/Angulo (still looking for odds on that one) and Campbell/Funeka (ditto) card. That's one hell of a triple header IMO.

Santos hasn't signed off yet.
Also, that card doesn't have a venue yet. Don King should just retire already. It will be an empty house for a great card.

that's the thing for me, i don't think collazo will be able to deter berto.. .i wish berto was more aggressive though...he seems to fight in spurts
jesus man...that ear infection sounds horrible....i hope they gave you some pain meds..i was lucky enough to have the pain go away after a couple days, but still all itchy..haha

Yep, they did; I wouldn't have gotten any sleep without them.

I personally think I am rolling Berto itd on this one. Collazo has a very suspect chin and unlike Hatton who fades into the late rounds. Berto is a physical specimine. If it wasnt for berto fighting the unhittable Stevie Forbes then the line would be adjusted. Nobody is ever going to knockout stevie forbes, b-hop, margarito, clottey, paul williams and maybe winky wright. Collazo can be popped. Also hatton looked like shit and totally unmotavated versus Collazo. COllazo recent hand problems could add to the fire
