Guys I live in Ireland and I have been following Boxing for 20 years with some relative success. I have been waiting for the fight for a long long time and will now make some serious money on it. Take Floyd Mayweather to beat Ricky Hatton and put a small saver on the TKO as well. The Brits are putting massive money on Hatton and his prices contines to come down. Right now Mayweather is 1/2 on, where in my eyes he should be 1/10 on. Its the fact Hatton is unbeaten is the only reason he is getting such respect. These odds are ridiculous in my eyes..While I want Ricky to win this is about making money. Below are the reasons why Floyd Mayweather will win..
1) Ricky's best victory was against Kyosta Tzyu. It was a great fight and Hatton fought with all the heart in the world with a massive crowd behind him. Kyosta in my opinion was coming to the end of a great career and simply did not have enough for a hungry young challenger in Hatton. Agruably his next best victory was against Castillo who clearly was not the same man that twice pushed Mayweather. My point being Hatton has never been in a ring with a guy as gifted as Mayweather, a guy thats still very much in his prime. He is not even Mayweathers closest challenger. Miguel Cotto and Winky Wright would make a super fight against Mayweather.
2) The fight looks so obvious to me and if it goes to points it wont even be close. I expect Ricky to start off cautiously (not like a train as everyone predicts). I see Floyd sneaking these early rounds of cat and mouse and Hatton forced to change tactics as panic sets in on him. I then expect him to pressure Mayweather hard into the middle rounds and punch himself out..I see Mayweather beating him to the punch constantly and wearing him out.Between rounds 10-12 I fully expect a knockout from Mayweather.
Quite frankly Ricky is a good fighter but come Saturday he will realise very quickly he is not in Mayweathers league. I honestly feel Cotto would beat Hatton easily. Ricky's next option will then be to fight Junior Witter and then look for one last big superfight against De La Hoya or Cotto. I expect Mayweather not to be fully at his best and still get the victory, then the calls for him to fight Cotto will become louder and he will retire after that fight a true legend. A clown he is, but a legendary boxer.
