This is gonna be a banger of a fight. Smith Jr. has faced quality opposition, but Beterbiev is the only champ with a 100% KO rate, and he is truly more of a boogeyman than most in boxing.
I'll wait for the weigh ins, but rn, I have Beterbiev by decision at +320 on FD. I think he's too much, but I think Joe has a good enough chin to withstand Beterbievs power.
Joe Smith Jr has only been KO'd once, and that was in his 7th fight. This is currently his 32nd. 4 of his last 7 have gone the distance, and he's gone 4-2 against opponents rated 5 stars by BoxRec. He's not scared and I think he's being underestimated (no way do I think he wins, as Beterbiev has a 295-5 record in the amateurs and has seen every style possible).
Again, I'll wait for the weigh in, but due to the price being too high on Beterbiev ML, and even on a KO victory (-240 on FD), I'll roll with Joe to make it 12 rounds. Fight goes the distance is +250, but if it does, Beterbiev is gonna win.
Beterbiev vs Bivol is the fight to make at LHW. Smith Jr. got thoroughly outboxed by Bivol, and no one wants to see that rematch.
