Boxing Authority (three main regulations)
- the ringside doctor(s) are the highest authority on medical matters during a boxing match and their opinions shall be respected at all times by the referee
- at least two ringside doctors are in attendance at each match
- if the ringside doctor determines that the match should not continue, the referee shall stop the match
Note: Although these rules are Province of Nova Scotia, the majority of regulations meet U.S. requirements. Inside the U.S., each state uses their respective Athletic Commission and also each Governing Body (Organization) has slightly different rules.
