I understand, but to me it appears he's following the blueprint Floyd Mayweather Jr. has laid out. Simply accept the role as villain. People will pay just as much hoping they get to see a guy like Broner get his ass kicked as they would to watch one of their favorite fighters.

It's actually a good marketing strategy.

He is a highly skilled 130 lbs fighter, but if he moves up to 135 or 140 as he hinted in the post fight interview, he better bring his "A" game everynight.

Broner has great maturity inside the ring, and does the act for promotion. C'mon, there is a major difference between Floyd and him. This kid will fight anyone and I'd bet his criminal record is 0. Mayweather has had some deep rooted problems, and coming from his family, you can see he was fortunate to have Roger raise and train him at 12 or so...as Roger has been the most laid back but the whole family has a major issue. FM has become a master promoter now equal to his skills. Unfortunately, he can't teach others what to act like, how to negotiate,etc.. so he is making it by himself. He can be as proud as he wants of that record as it is shameful the people he fought were never as their prime, except early on against Castillo, on looked how people feel about that. Oscar, Sugar, Pac, etc... never ducked a fighter at any point. Sure they took fights for money and played to survive. Mosley is getting carried away now with it... remember though, it's not like he fought average or good, he has fought the very best in their prime, so on a previous thread maybe we all were a little hard on him. I listed his record and who he fought, and I must say for ranking system, he is #1 in level of competition. Let him fight Canelo, and at least put up a fight before we judge him. Maybe he will take a chance against the newbie.
