Funeka - in a very one sided fight. This guy is legit. Sound boxer/puncher with good defense that should be able to use his size to stay on the outside and win rounds. Plain and simple. Wouldn't shock me if Campbell was in trouble very early in this fight.
Cintron - I think he'll catch before he is caught, if that makes sense. Martinez keeps his right hand way too low and will try to bang with a guy that bangs better. He also tends to lead with wild right hooks, leaving him wide open for big counters. (Straight right anyone?) However, he can punch and might get the frog with something big. This fight should end with an spectacular knockout. Believe it or not, the under 7.5 has serious value.

I agree with you on Funeka. I'm on him big. As for the Cintron fight, I just think Sergio Martinez is too skilled. With Cintron's long arms, you can see those punches coming, and I think Martinez will be able to get out of the way. I think Martinez dominates here.

Your Funeka pick may be a good one. That line seemed fishy to me, way too cheap on Nate, but I don't really know anything about AF.
Cintron is really bad though. He has done nothing in recent years to suggest he's capable of winning a big fight. He is going to look slow against a better athlete and small against a bigger man who is more natural at 154. The line is steadily moving towards Martinez. You should play the under if you don't like chalk.

I hesitate to go against walktheline, as he was the lone soldier on Shane Mosley
A GREAT CALL
but my take it that Sergio Martinez is going whip Cintron's ass Faster, Stronger, Smarter 154 pound SouthPaw Cintron is going to be hitting empty air and eating jabs

Good write up even though I'm against you on the Cintron fight. Funeka

What do you know about Funeka other than his impressive record? It's his first fight outside South Africa. That has to be a concern. His previous competition wasn't all that strong. I generally don't like it when fighters scale light. He weighed 133.5. That concerns me. Sure Nate lost the title on the scales and now his motivation could be a concern, but he also didn't severely impair himself trying to lose the 3 lbs.
You seem quite confident. Clue me in.

Nate is an idiot. He only beat Diaz because he outworked a mule, and Diaz is still a bit green. The vet was able to pull the rabbit.
This cat from the jungle is rock solid. Lanky guy with a good jab, decent pop and he doesn't make mistakes. I didn't get to watch as much tape as I would have liked but I noticed very quickly what he was about. Everything builds off a solid jab. Nate isn't much of a power threat, so this could turn into a sparring session,
Nate has been in limbo after Guzman fucked him out of about 400k. It sucks he won't get the chance to cash in off his big win over Diaz. He earned it after the up and (hit me Robbie) downs. He earned his chance at being a champ and bullshit is getting in the way.
I'm not often shocked by the results of a prizefight. I would be shocked if Nate Dogg pulls this off given the circumstances. I already thought he was in a for a tough one, but this crap seals the deal.

It is known that Nate is having financial troubles. Is there a chance that he wasn't really that concerned with making weight? He was planning on vacating the titles and moving up anyway after this fight. What I want to know is, since he's not fighting for any title tonight, does he still have to pay sanctioning fees? If not, maybe this was something he did on purpose.

Here's my question/dilemma:
