Can anyone tell me what the odds were for the Tyson vs McNeeley fight?

I knew some guy that had a lot of money on McNeeley, saying he was gonna suprise Tyson.

and what was the over/under round?

Tyson wasn't that big a favorite, if I remember like -600 or -700.

Did you ask what he was thinking?, because Peter McNeely could never beat Mike Tyson even on his worst day, even if he fought on the same night Douglas did in Toyko, he would never win.

That being said McNeely has alot of heart, as he displayed by running straight at Tyson, trying to beat Tyson at his own game.

 

JESUS!! That's it!? Tyson was fresh out the bing looking to take out his anger and frustration on some nobody. I would have bet the farm and the wife that night. I was only a teen though lol.

You don't take the biggest draw and attention media fighter and put him in the ring after prison with anyone who has a chance. In that scenario, everyone except his opponents loses major capital. If anyone thought for a second that they would make Tyson fight anyone real doesn't know the politics of boxing... it's unfortunate but it's all about the BENJAMIN$ !!!

Bbopu5, what I meant was who did Mcneely beat that would give someone a reason to bet on him, Tyson destroyed anyone who didn't have a great jab and wasn't tall. 

Rzagza is probably right, can't see -600, there would have been people all over that big, just based on Tyson's rep at the time (41-1 record) 

Every amateur and pro (99.9%) knew it was just a primer. The beauty with Tyson is a great chin. So you can put a big puncher in and make it look risky... WRONG. When Tyson was totally finished and fought Lewis, I remember Lewis stating he hit Tyson harder and more times than combining all his big fights. He said it felt as is hand was going through Tyson's head. People stated Tyson had no chin...LOL... no, he use to move always and peek-a-boo or bob-n-weave. After 2 years as champ he forgot to move and do body work (his #1 weapon). His first fight with Holyfield he hit Evander with a body punch that made Evander hang on for a round. Watch the tapes... I'll give you a hint, it was middle rounds. I like when Evander hit him and floored him, no one expected Tyson going down from body shot! Tyson had all the tools, but when you are everyones ATM, you get used and worn down to a point you subconsciously want to lose and get away!
