Okay first real fight I've been interested in since Hatton/Pacman.
Let's go!
Clottey in my eyes is the BET in this match up.
Clottey after viewing many of his fights, is actually JUST as fast a Cotto HAND speed wise.
Clottey is a great body puncher mostly with his left hand, he doesn't just land one hard shot. Clottey lands MULTIPLE combos to the body!
Clottey has an IRON CHIN! Clottey is the MUCH bigger man. Clottey gains on average about 15-20 pounds the DAY OF the fight.
Clottey is a great inside fighter, doesn't jab as MUCH as he can or should with brawlers.
Clottey throws ONE punch Cotto CANNOT handle it's the UPPER CUT. Clottey does sometime LUNGE IN which is dangerous but not against Cotto and I will say why in a minute.
Clottey can throw COMBOS effortlessly, he can thow a right uppercut or LEFT. Cotto WALK into uppercuts and right hands!
Now all this great stuff about Clottey, Cotto is NO BUM he goes to the body also has good hand speed, and has BETTER foot speed.
Cotto's main flaw which can never be fixed is he CANNOT PUNCH unless he's planted. He cannot throw a solid body shot or any punch unless he's planted or coming forward.
Look at every video of Cotto- you will see every punch he's landed he was going 100 into the punch. Why do you think Margarito even though he got hit with a lot of shots, COTTO never got to the body.
After the late 6th round Cotto started eating shots. ANY Forward fighter who doesn't allow Cotto to plant/move forward can HURT HIM BADLY.
Torres who was a 140 fighter, had Cotto HURT BADLY. Cotto's only way of getting back was guess what .. a LOW blow, TWO of them.
He doesn't have a lick of defense, he did the same thing against Zab Juddah when Juddah tagged him with a beautiful upper cut which he RAN into. 10 seconds later, Juddah is on the canvas because thats the only way Cotto could create distance when he was in trouble.
Remember Miguel Cotto was the next coming of Tito Trinidad, once Trinidad got exposed.
He has been given big paydays and life on a silver platter.
Joshua Clottey was fighting on the versus network and promised a title shot, he won and guess what never got a shot.
Also take a look at Clottey versus Margarito, Margarito was faster and leaner there simply you tube it. By the time he fought Cotto he was a looping slow handed puncher (probably with more wrapping).
Clottey may NOT seem like a K.O artist, but he dishes out a TON of PAIN. Sometimes you don't need a big punch the the other guy has a weak CHIN and also runs INTO the punches.
The fact that Cotto will be the MUCH smaller man in the ring, spells DOOM for HIM.
He can switch to South Paw and throw off Clottey but it won't make a difference, Clottey is a technician who adjusts and he may lose a few rounds from playing defense, but when he catches Cotto with a left hook to the body, and then the upper cut, goodnight Senor Cotto.
At this insane price you don't even need a prop, take CLOTTEY to WIN.
I encourage anyone likes Cotto, to do a write up maybe explaining why they like him and how to defeat Clottey.
This is not a bash against Cotto he just chose the wrong fighter.He should of re-matched Mosley. At these insane odds, you have to take a gift anytime it's handed to you. These are one of those times.

Good write up! 
If you want to do some kind of boxing contest where the loser leaves the boards forever, please let me know because I'd love to get you out of here. I just want people to win $$$ and I fear your long writeups get some people to tail you and in reality your the worst capper on the forum.
