Diaconu vs Dawson

I like Diaconu's chances here. His only loses came agianst Jean-Pascal whose clearly a top class fighter. +400 odds also present some value.

However boxing does like to "set-up" fights so most likely we will see a Dawson win followed by a Jean-Pascal win, ultimately setting up the re-match between the two

No.  Just no.

Diaconu is made to order for Dawson.  Dawson is a counter puncher.  He excels vs fighters who come right to him.  Diaconu will come right to him all day and get picked off.  Diaconu is 5'9 with short arms, Dawson is 6'2 with a 77' reach.  He will pick him off like crazy from the outside.

Save your money, he's too fast, big and skilled.

So you place bets dependent upon who is "exciting' to watch? Oh boy.

Styles make fights.  Dawson is a terrible matchup for Diaconu.  He is too athletic and too long.  Diaconu is not Pascal.  Pascal makes you come to him.  Dawson is a counter puncher, he wants you to come to him - which is exactly what Diaconu does.

I did speak to Emanuel Steward before the weigh in and although he said Chad had a good camp and all, reading body language of Emanuel, who I have known for years, I didn't quite believe his heart was in his statements. For some reason I don't think he had a great camp based on the way Manny was reacting to questions.
