Jacobs has the "it" look about him. Classic NY boxer. Decorated amateur. The Golden Boy fighter. Pirog is too slow and maybe a bit too small. Never fought in the states. He only got this fight because he looks decent on paper - no more, no less. Expect a near shutout from Jacobs.
Jacobs -7.5, -115 (the best bet of the night)
Guerrero is coming back against an old vet. Casamayor was a great fighter at one time. However, that time is long gone. He hasn't been active and is now 39. Fighting a younger, stronger fighter that needs to make a splash in his return isn't going to help him. Great match making by GBP. Guerrero gets a really nice win over a fighter that can't compete on this level anymore. I have a feeling Guerrero pulls out a KO for the cherry on top.
Guerrero ITD, +237
Rocky Juarez has fallen short every single time he had a shot to take the step up from gatekeeper/contender status. Tonight should be no different. Plenty of questions about Linares's chin but Rocky won't go for broke to find out.
Linares via decision, -195
I don't really know why everyone is counting out Juan Diaz. He was beating on Marquez for the first 5 rounds. He was landing so much he got too confident. Marquez started too land at will and put him to sleep. If Diaz can bank a few early rounds and stay on his feet for the second half of the fight he'll win. I feel that is the gameplan and Juan will finally make an adjustment for the first time in his career.
Diaz +380

Back to FNF for Juarez. He will now be a stepping stone for prospects. I just don't understand how he never took the next step, or at least die trying...

I thought Guerro had him in the early rounds...looking like the stoppage was coming, round 7now and I'm thinking its going the distance.
Guerro has hit him with his best shot and Casamayor is still there. You need more than 1 punch to get the Casamayor ot of there and Guerro seems to only be able to get one good shot in.
If he can put a few together he can spark him out. But Casa is good on his feet which is the difference imo.
See; keeps landing the big shot but can't put them together.

O' shit, Guerro down in the 10th. If Casamayor wasn't so old he might have gotten him out. Reminds me of the knockdown jab from Aaron Davis vs Mark Breland.
They brought up Alvarado's name...Guerro better stay away from that fight.

Dayum. Ya'll called it...congrats to those who had Pirog. Glad I stayed the hell out of that one.
Nice side step caught Jacobs in the headlights. After a shaky start I thought Jacobs adapted and it looked good for he kid. But dam, I watched 3 of Pirogs fights today and he didn't fight with half he intensity he did tonight. Very strong in there. Jacobs landed some heavy shots and he snapped right back into position.
