Couple of things I noticed first off, and I'll be looking for more hints to support this play, though I'm settled on it already. Canelo has set up camp in his hometown of San Diego, beacause he wants to be "comfortable" training for this fight. This was the opening lines in the Showtime xxxxxx 2-part series. In theory is fine as long as you give 100%, which I'm certain he will in his preparation. But for those of you that know competition, when you are gassed, and trying to give more than your body or mind can accomodate, then doubt naturally sets in. You see Canelo is a boxer, a good one. He knows this. He's got talent. But he's going to war with a seek and destroy style. That's Angulo. In the losses I've seen, the one with Kirkland and Lara, in Kirkland he was already beat way before the fight was actually stopped. How he was able to continue was through sheer Spartan will and determination. You see, that's Angulo. And you all realize that Lara literally, and I mean LITERALLY had to break Angulo's face to stop him. That's what Canelo is stepping into the ring with. If I were fighting Angulo, I would firmly believe that in order to fully maximize my preparation I would need to go to a secluded, perhaps even mystical place to train. A place where past Champions went to train during their reigns. Bigbear comes to mind. The Otomis in Mexico perhaps. So wanting to be comfortable is fine, but make no mistake about it. If Angulo is still around by the 8th round, there will be nothing comfortable about that whatsoever for Canelo Alvarez. He will have to dig to a place he didn't mentally store up for during training, and the well will be empty.
Next and lastly for now, I will recant the career of Oscar de La hoya. I've analyzed his first pro losses many moments and often quietly said to myself, "what if he fought Mosely like he fought Trinidad and vice versa"? He would have went to war with Trinidad and the fight would have played out much differently. I believe he would have been the first to stop Tito. What if he would have gave Shane a "boxing lesson"? He could have, though chose not to cause he felt like he had something to prove considering the way the Tito fight went down and his fan's reactions. But he could have easily outclassed Shane, and been the first to hand him a loss. I see a similiar predicament for Canelo. I feel he should have tried to war with Floyd, rather than to try to pit his boxing IQ against his. His downfall is now he will go to war with a fighter he could easily dissect, cause he's at a crossroads in his career and still reeling from his first loss. Much like Oscar was when he stepped into the ring with Sugar Shane. And we all know how that played out. Only difference is I don't recall Oscar fighting Tito and Shane in succession.
Thanks for your time and good luck to all.

Alfredo Angulo to upset Canelo Alvarez

Angulo slow as molases and will get stopped by Canelo. Do not pay too much attention to Floyd vs Canelo. Canelo is strong as hell and has great combination punching.

But he has a weak chin...he got rocked against cottos brother in the first round and it was at 140 pounds. Imagine if el Perro hits him flush?!

Canelo is a calculated and patient fighter. Angulo is a raw brawler with no discipline. Canelo is going to pick Angulo apart. The only way Angulo wins the fight is by catching Canelo asleep at the wheel. Canelo and Mayweather are fighting similar fighters. Both fights are cherry picked. I'm waiting for the boxing propositions to come out. I'm taking the fight won't go distance prop.

Smelling what you're cooking. I just hope Canelo doesn't hurt Angulo very early and get confident. The first guy to flinch in this fight is going to lose. The only problem is Canelo fires missiles when he is fresh..
