At this point of their career&#x27;s that fight makes sense, no PPV, the last couple have not been good for boxing and this fight is not worth $55. Hopkins wins by decision.

I give Johnson credit, he gets rematches constantly against excellent fighters. Dawson, Tarver and Woods, now Hopkins but that was 15 years ago. He even fights the top young fighters although losing to Bute, Cloud, and Froch. He did KO Green and Mack. Johnson brings his best every fight and fights anyone at anytime, and that's rare these days! Hopkins should win an easy tactical fight, but that's assuming his shoulder is OK and he really wants to fight.

Johnson is a quiet guy, but like Cotto as he does his talking in the ring. I remember Dawson before his rematch (which he won much easier than the first bout) with Johnson stating he wasn't excited about fighting Johnson again. He said "I'm expected to win, and Johnson makes you work hard for every round, so it's almost a lose lose situation." He stated at the time, every other contender just fought or was fighting and Johnson was the only available and he respected Johnson so he would honor him with a rematch. Johnson's a tough guy but he's slowed a lot in the past 3 years. Naturally at 43 and has had many tough fights go the distance, it was a matter of time before he rapidly declined. Not everyone aged like Hopkins. Also, Johnson has been primarily just offense and Hopkins a master at defense, so the Johnson's body has paid a bigger price!

Hopkins has nothing to gain, but he always wanted a rematch with Roy Jones and finally got it, Johnson still has more than Jones did, they both don't have too many other options at this point, atleast it would be fair (40 yr vs 40 yr), they shouldn't fight young contenders anymore just the seniors.

Don't want to see Dawson vs Hopkins 2, unless it is free. (Still don't really want to watch)
