FightOTY=contender finale, b/c I did not expect it to improve as it has since year #1. Though KP vs. JT is right there. But I thought it had some real bang-up potential. So the Contender finale gets some bouns points. (JCodrington vs. Bika of course)
KOTTY=Wilson. That was simply skary. Most frightening KO in a handful of years, b/c the Ding-a-Ling man is just such a compact brute that when he really torques up, it can be very bad news.
BoxerOTY="the pretty boy" FMayJr. He really was a tipple A+ vs. Hatton. KP was nails, but he was down as well. Doinare & Cotto are in the mix as well.

Fighter of the Year: Kelly Pavlik. The obvious choice is Floyd based off of the hype around his matchups, but It's not often a fighter goes from protected undefeated prospect to dismantling a top 20 contender (Zertuche), a top 5 guy (Miranda), and then the linear champ (Taylor) all in brutal fashion in the same year.
Fight of the Year: As sloppy as it was, the Codrington-Bika gets the nod in my opinion. Marquez-Vazquez was great at a much higher level, but the potential result of the contender finale was flip flopping every 30 seconds.
Round of the Year: Israel Vazquez-Rafael Marquez II, Round 3. I will stick with this over Codrington-Bika round 1 since I snubbed it for fight of the year. This round was brutal back and forth drama.
Knockout of the Year: Abraham KO11 Gevor, I was in disbelief at the sudden ending. It was brutal stuff.
Upset of the Year: Saul Roman SD10 Ouma, it wasn't a dream Kassim.
Comeback of the Year: Erik Morales; I know he didn't win and retired after the fight, but I didn't think that he had an exciting performance like that left in him. Thanks for the memories El Terrible.
Event of the Year: Floyd Mayweather-Oscar De La Hoya. No need for an explanation here, the hype was rediculous.
