Just a note for those not aware of what was offered before Ortiz vs Mayweather:
Floyd offered Victor $2.5 Million wager on the outcome, and naturally Ortiz declined. Actually a brilliant move by Floyd because Ortiz was receiving a giant sum of money in relativity to what he is use to getting. Risking your entire purse puts immense pressure because after losing he would have no consolation. Myself, coming from a boxing and poker background, it is no different than a player (who doesn't borrow, get stakes, partners, etc...) have all his net worth on the table in a NL game. Very rarely (even though it would work effectively) a player will be involved with big pots without a big hand, and rarely make All-In bluffs with his Net Worth!!! Only a handful of players (among top pros do that) sit down with everything, yet alone risk it in a chance hand.
