Glenn Johnson -4 1/2 pts handicap -115 (ko/tko is a winner too).

-180 for the fight itself seems rather low I would of had Johnson even at this age .. about -270.

The over looks good too but sticking with the -4 1/2 pt handicap at -115 :)

Dont you think its odd that Johnson by decision is +287 but Johnson ITD is +150 .I'd think those would be opposite

this fight will probably end by Johnson ITD , although wouldn't be that much of a shocker if mack pulled off the upset either.

I was much bigger on him a few years back he has slowed a bit, but he has a great chin and always comes forward.

The way I see it unless Yusef Mack gets chad dawsons speed and ability Johnson is likely to win.

His style scores POINTS. I mean look at the rematch with Dawson he got whipped but one judge had it 115-113  for Dawson when Dawson won almost every round lol!

Aggressive style scores well :-)

The winner of this gets Tarvaris Cloud.

This isn't a large play for me, I really do like Johnson, but I do realize he has slowed down,isn't as good as he once was and can get old over night.


I do believe he has a shot at KO'ing  Yusef late or close to a stoppage.

I'm looking at tomorrows card.. I need to see footage of Valero being such a high favorite over a decent fighter seems interesting.

I like that bet, but I'll probably stay away here.  My initial thought was that Johnson stops him late, but I'm scared of betting on the old man.  Nothing really jumps out at me this weekend.

When one looks at Glen Johnson they always think "The distance" he has an iron chin.. etc etc.

My first thought was the OPPOSITE I was thinking inside the distance as the play... then I backed off that and went with the handicap. 

So if he KO's Yusef you win no matter what, and if he wins on the cards by more than 4.5 points you win. At -115 seems like the best play for a Friday Night Fight. :-)

I really like Valero ITD tomorrow, but the odds are too high for me there (-205).  He's sloppy and raw, but his power is the real deal.  He's relentless and aggressive, and DeMarco can be hit.  I think Valero eventually gets to his chin, but I don't want to lay than 2-1 on it.

I agree I was thinking 9th/10th round he hurts Yusef but his age does concern me. 

I'm giving Johnson the benefit of the doubt because his last fight was against Dawson in a rematch, he looked bad but that's because Dawson has amazing speed and can dance for 12 rounds.

Not sure if Yusef has that ability, so while I  I LOVE Johnson, the play is smaller than I would like because fact is he IS OLD and can get even older very quickly.

Thanks danno I'm playing small tonight, tons of college bball on tomorrow.

I may stay away from the Valero fight because Valero hasn't been tested and I've seen Demarco a few times, while the ITD looks like a an amazing prop I don't really have a feeling on the fight so I may stay away also.

I've been doing pretty good with college hoops so trying to stick to where I'm going good, won't force the Valero fight just for action.

Wish I could help you here, Corely is very dangerous early.. but fades as the fight goes on. 

Being it's only a 10 round fight, the props don't look that good.. the points handicap is a bit too large (-16) for a 10 round fight.

The over price is way too high.

The only one that seems logical is Hernandez by decision, but beware of Corely EARLY and beware of Corely late (late being he's 35 and could get finished and it kills the bet).

Safest play is Hernandez by 10 rnd decision -170 cuts the price down, but if he knocks out Corely you lose... I say play small if you do

Is the Corley fight at 147? Because Hernandez is a 147 guy. This is a move up I'm assuming?

Johnson is on ESPN 2 (Friday Night fights). Card begins at 10 

Corely is on showtime.. (shobox)   card begins at 11


I think Both guys are headlining so Johnson and Corely will start later than that. So you can pobablt get both fights in :)

Yup 147 big step up for Corely at age 35, not sure if he can carry that "early" power over.

Corely has fought the best, and lost every time. He has also seen the canvas many times :)

Hernandez has two decent names on his resume Ben Tackie (He won) and Golden Johnson (back when Johnson was still Golden, he lost a SD to Johnson.

Play this small if you bet this.. so much chalk even on the props.

Nice job Rich. 

That was a weird ending.  Mack did not look good at all.  I understand that the first KD hurt him, but those other shots didn't look too bad, and he was not handling them well.

Mack cannot take pressure, and although Glen Johnson is 41 (my dad says he is really 46 and is lying lol) he applied pressure just enough.

Tarvaris Cloud vs Father Time.. tough one.. to call just enjoying this one a bit more  because Glen Johnson is a class act and has nothing but class.

Cloud is a dope.  His fight in March has been cancelled because of a dispute with his promoter.  Every time he builds a little momentum, he kills it with a LONG layoff.  He's young and not making any money.  Just stupid.

Hey Rich...thanks for the Johnson posts. I wasn't going to do it for many reasons but went on the money line and pulled back 2. Thanks!

Also took Valero, Rios, and Adamek...good night...except for taking a good friends MMA pick...Marquadt or some shit. Fucking hurt that one did. Last time I bet MMA.

Had Hernandez too...forgot about that. What a knockout...Nestea Plunge is an understatement. Chop got up pretty quick though.
