tthis was a ten unit fight for me on dawson because of b-hops age, the fact that this will be his third 12-round fight in less than eleven months and manny's presence in dawson corner. once dawson balied on manny i lost interest.

b-hop fighting his third 12-round championship fight against world-class competition in ten months at the age of 46.
if b-hop can win this fight, this in of itself is an absolute incredible accomplishemnt.
people do not realize how special b-hop is. when looking at his total career, top ten fighter of all time.

SawLo: It is a likely draw scenario, just be cautious the styles could lead to accidental headbutts as Hopkins adjust and creates unique opportunities, some lead to clashing heads. GL

To thesoulpurpose: My point exactly when someone stated about Hopkins activity level. He must remain active at that age or if he takes a long break, physics shows he will decline faster and show ring rust and the physical areas he can't bounce back as younger fighters can do. It's interesting about Hopkins, but his place in history is defined. The good thread would be how he matched up against all the greats from middleweight and up. I think Leonard would beat him at 160lbs, because Leonard was smart as well as fast and packed a punch. Hagler, I don't know because no fighter that didn't have world class hand speed has beaten Hopkins (Jones, Taylor, Calzaghe). Strong predictable fighters Hopkins takes apart easily. I think Lamotta would lose, Fullmer would be interesting, Robinson always interesting, and Greb I think Hopkins would nudge a close fight. Even a thread about middleweight matchups that took place and the ones that never did. I believe that making a thread about Hopkins place in history is stated clearly for those who know boxing. Hopkins is more than a thrwoback where fighters boxed at late ages, he is boxing at a late age and beating premium young prime opponents. People use to knock him early in his career in the 90s saying he was all mouth, but people forget he was like Winky, Paul Willaims, Martinez, etc..., that people ducked because the payday was not as large as others and the risk was very high. Roy Jones waited 2 decades when it was nothing to his place in history and stood barely any chance.
Question thesoulpurpose: I made a comment on this thread and a new one regarding the "SIMILARITY" in analysis of a post I made 6 hours prior to Jerseyboy89 . I still have yet to get an answer or reply from him. Regardless of early disagreements we had or what not, that stuff I expect on forums. When you get what appears to be considered in the legal world "Copyright Infringement", without any reference regarding the initial source, I would take that as an insult. I offered him a chance to state it was an accidental error, a freak occurrence, etc...but I still wait an answer. In your opinion, do you think that it was an anamoly he wrote identical points but used a few different words without every seeing my post? I ask you because I know you are knowldgeable and aren't afraid to speak (post) your opinions!

Dawson is a basic Jab ans move amatur style. The only guy I ever seen keep up to Hopkins output was Calzaghe who later admitted to cocaine use. Dawson is coming of his last fight vs a weak opponent and Hopkins is coming of a title fight vs a huge puncher.Your weak on homeworked comments have no effect on my heavy wager on Hopkins nor do they have any effect of Hopkins legacy as the next Ali.
