The Under 9.5 is +311 currently. Forbes is W38 (KO 9), L5 (KO 0), D0. I will check the replays on Forbes's fights to see if there is any value in the under. I'll post back atleast 5 hours before fight time. Forbes hasn't fought any talented fighters, but many of his recent opponents had around 60% wins by KO (or TKO). It won't hurt to check the replays and see how they look at the weigh-in.

DLH doesnt KO anyone good does he? this will be like his Felix Sturm tune up that he actually lost but got a gift as not to derail the hopkins fight
BTW the fact that they have countdown to Delahoya Forbes on HBO is so comical to me... ooh i need the countdown to this fight to get me even more pumped up than i already am for this battle of the ages

Well, the countdown show obviously affected you for you to bring the Sturm fight up. I don't see the correlation. Sturm isn't anything great but he is a legitimiate middleweight contender. Steve Forbes is like a natural lightweight with decent boxing skills. Sturm would be a 4-1 favorite against Forbes. Nothing about Steve Forbes says to me he will do what Sturm did to De La Hoya. The fact that HBO is making the correlation shows just how bad they have to reach to make this fight look legitimate.
I am leaning towards the under, but I may just go crazy and play Oscar straight up.

I watched the Sturm fight live, and I was laughing because Hopkins was watching so nervously, worrying about his pay day with Oscar. Mayweather vs Oscar De La Hoya will be a mega fight, they are big names. I'd prefer to see Mayweather fight several other fighters as well as De La Hoya. This sport is more about promoting, than boxing. Sure it would be great to have a set-up, where fights were done like March Madness, but that's just not the case. Fights like Isreal Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez, Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez, Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor, Joe Calzaghe vs Mikkel Kessler, etc.., are what we want to see more often, but the public settles for whatever the boxing world offers. De La Hoya along with a few other individuals calls the shots in boxing currently, as it's been the case with the sport in the past with other people. Unlike other individual sports (golf, tennis, cycling, olympic events, etc.), boxing doesn't have a tournament or league that allows the best to compete against the best regualry. Money talks and walks bigger in boxing than in almost any sport.

DLH will slows it down, I think. Last fight with Mayorga, he took it in an early bout. But what happened, he knocked out by The Executioner into his next fight. I believe Forbes will stands in the ring till 12 rounds. BTW this is an Home-coming for DLH since 2000, I'm sure he will make this fight interesting.
