I nominate round 2 for round of the year. Even though Pavlik got his ass kicked that round, his survival was the story of the fight. It's remarkable he scored that KO just five rounds after absorbing those brutal shots. Just an incredible display of boxing talent and skills, with a lot of heart mixed in.

All u JT dick riders aka the publc thanks for driving up the Line to +140
You were steadfast throughout the week getting on the JT guys here and
you were right. Didn't play the fight myself, but I was the ring
leader of the Pavlik fan club tonight. What were you thinking in that
2nd round? The way this fight went further validated my thought that
this fight was way to close to call to lay hardly anything on. I am
just glad that Smoger was the ref, a lot of guys would have stopped
that fight in the 2nd, and to be honest I don't think many people would
have said that it was a bad stoppage if he would have. Smoger's
decision not to gave us the comeback of the year, fighter of the year,
and possible fight of the year (tough to call between this and
Rafa-Vazquez).

That fight would sell out on the St. Patty's day date that Arum proposed at the press conference, but it won't be a fight at all. Duddy got all he could handle only a year ago from Yory Boy Campas and I don't think even think in these days of Alphabet soup belts he could ever hold a major belt. Duddy will get his Irish supporters in the doors, but they will be headed to the exits very quickly.

Pavlik way behind on the cards! Although many viewed newly-crowned middleweight champion Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik's dramatic fight against the now ex-champ Jerman Taylor, as a close one, the official judges didn't see it that way. Judges Guido Cavalleri and John Stewart had Taylor up 58-55 after six, while Julie Lederman awarded Pavlik only one round (her father HBO analyst Harold Lederman had Pavlik ahead 57-56). Below is the official New Jersey Athletic Control Board master scorecard. Thank god these 3 ass holes couldnt steal this from Pav
