I don't feel there was a need to jump the gun. Margo is a clown/cheat, but an elite talent. How much was bullshit? We'll never know. However, if only half was his iron chin/size/aggro style, Manny might be in trouble fighting someone of his size (height) for the first time. Not too much trouble, but it might get interesting at some point.
-700 on Pacman is a joke against anyone, if only to consider the natural size of the men he will be fighting.

I guess you feel Margarito has no chance. I somewhat agree although I can see the fight going the distance and Margarito making it closer than expected. Worst case scenario is a draw and I think Margarito would have to win 7 rounds to get a draw.
I must say Margarito looks HUGE when standing next to Pacquiao. Most everybody I trust is picking Pacman by KO but that is certainly not a sure bet.

Nulty I agree Hatton HAD a hin but that was pre Kostya. After that I think I was badly rocked in every fight bar Castillo.
I don't think Marg has any chance. Manny's speed should be way too much but -700 on a guy that small. Pure madness!. Marg can hit and all it takes is one punch from a guy with a 14 pound weight advantage. Marg wont hide like Clottey, but I think he take serious punishment here but no way in hell I lay the chalk here

People saying that Manny has a power advantage over Margo at 154 are either very stupid or drunk off Pacjuice. Why is such a assumed?
Also, when exactly does Pacman "hit the wall" in terms of his actual size? Hell, I'm starting to think that people feel he would stand a chance against Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez.

I seriously think Mosley was allowed to hold WAAAAYYY too much in the Margarito fight. Margarito can't fight going backwards, so Mosley would simply throw a combination and then hold while walking forward. He used angles as well but the holding REALLY affected Margarito's attack.
I think Pacman is going to fight like he did in the DLH fight - safely. Pacman's attack is more dependant on his explosive footwork and I can see him confusing the SHIT out of Margarito with his constant angle changing. Somebody above stated "when will Pacman hit the proverbial wall with the weight climbing?" I say,"When will Pacman's feet and stamina slow down?" The combination of Pacman's explosiveness and stamina can only be maintained while one is in his PRIME years (or with PEDs). Pacman is now in his 30s and its a matter of time before he begins to show a decline in athleticism of which his style is so dependant. The higher up you go in weight the more difficult it is to be as agile and quick. Combine that with the fact that Pacman may see this as an easy fight and be distracted by his hectic life in the philippines and we have the recipe for an upset. Margaito's style is dependant on wearing down opponents and making them back up so that their legs get tired. If Pacman's legs aren't 100 percent, he's gonna have trouble with Margarito's late round pressure.

Call me crazy but I think Pacman's power at 147 and above is overrated. It's certainly unproven.
Okay he KO'd Hatton unconsious with one punch but Hatton walked right into it (multiplying the force), it landed flush on chin, and it's Pacquiao's best punch and had full leverage on it. How would this NOT KO somebody?
Against Cotto Pacquiao asked for a catch-weight which weakened Cotto - a man already known for having chin problems and not being the same after enduring 11 rounds of Margarito's plastered hands. BTW, was anybody else perplexed by Margarito's "power" in the Cotto fight considering his punches didn't have good leverage and looked slow?
De La Hoya was known for having a good chin, but he was DEFINITELY weakened as an old man to make 147, yet DLH was never truly rocked. He was busted up, but never rocked.
Margarito is known for having a good chin. He's going to have an 11 pound or more weight advantage inside the ring. Maybe his punch resistance isn't the same after the Mosley fight, but his suspension may have actually helped his brain recover from the beatdown. People say that Margarito looked AWFUL in his last fight, but I say he looked decent (certainly not bad). It seemed his new trainer (who is MUCH BETTER technically than Capetillo was)wanted him to use his distance and reach and that is not in Margarito's nature. Yet Margarito STILL managed to score a knockdown with a STRAIGHT right (W/O the plaster) against a natural 154lber with a good chin.
Freddie Roach says there's no way Margarito makes it to the 8th round, but I think he's just saying that for publicity and intimidation. Pacquiao definitely wins this fight and I don't mind laying the chalk, but I don't think the KO prop is a sure bet.
