A fight that isnt getting much attention from the board so i thought i would put in my thoughts...
According to the odds IBF title hold Steve Cunningham might just as well mail his hard fought for belt over to Germany to challenger Marco Huck (Huck is a massive 1.26 (4 to 1) favourite for next weeks fight...He won this title after two hard fought matches in Poland against a Polish fighter whose name I can spell...
Huck is good but he isnt worth starting at such favourable odds despite the fight being in Germany. If the odds were reversed then I would be looking at Huch without question. Cunningham won his title overseas after getting ripped off in his first attempt and he has headed back abroad for more overseas cooking. Most fighters get ripped off when they travel to Europe to defend their belts and the odds suggest that the scorecards have already been tallied here.
Cunningham is not a puncher and therefore will have to find himself at the mercy of the judges yet again this time next week. That alone is a daunting task for a fighter to get a fair shake when heading to Europe BUT....those odds alone make him appealing enough for me to take a bite of the 3.60 on offer and thats what im going to do. Hopefully the master, slick boxer will get the job done over the rugged youngster fighting at home....
