Tarver has always been entertaining. He has talked himself into a headlining card on Showtime after a decent win against Danny Green. However, the mind is willing but the body isn't. His legs are shot.
Yes, Kayode is crude. Yes, he hasn't looked spectacular after being hand-fed opponents and Showbox main event spots. What people are failing to understand is that he was WORKING in there. On the job training. Roach often gave specific instruction to back off and focus on x-y-z.
Tarver was ringside for these bouts and and wouldn't shut his mouth about Kayode's boxing ability, or lack thereof. Tarver was old school and had to work his way up before finally getting his limelight. He seen Kayode being nurtured and probably riding Roach's coattails to some extent. His mouth has written a check his ass can't cash.
If this fight was 10 rounds, I would give Tarver a better shot at finding a way to steal some rounds and win via points. It isn't happening. Remember, the has only fought twice in the last three years and one of those was at a bloated 221 pounds against Nagy "Tomato Can" Aguilera. He beats fellow old man Danny Green and he is a contender again? Get the fuck out of here. His legs, ego and age will fail him.
Back up the Brink's truck. Kayode sitting at +320 at most books is almost comical. The "Magic Man" is exactly that at this point............. smoke n' mirrors.

Walk.......there are only 2 guys on here whose opinions will cause me to make a bet on a fight that I have no personal opinion on. You are one of them.
I hope you're f**king right about this one...I stuck $2,000 on it at +333 with B365. A huge price compared to the other books I saw, none of which were even as high as +300.
If I win, I owe you a big "Thanks!!"
If I lose, I will track you down and kill you!!!! But....since you're a nice guy....I'll make it painless!!!

Thanks man. How the hell have you been? Stop by, I miss the "good old days." Also, look into joining the other spot, great guys that know their shit. MMA too, they swept the card last night.
Tarver is entertaining as hell. I just can't believe how many people believe he is a viable fighter again. I damn near fell on the floor when I caught the -400 price tag. I thought Kayode would be the heavy chalk, or at least he WOULD HAVE if Tarver didn't beat Green and make people think he still got it.
Good luck tonight.

To me, it was 116-112 Kayode. He CLEARLY won the first 5 rounds. To only give him one round after that.... bullshit. However, Kayode should have gotten better advice from his corner. He didn't throw enough in the middle rounds and gave ground when it wasn't necessary.
Betting boxing is a motherfucker. Bika gets a stoppage 6 seconds late, ref pulled the hook too late. Trout and Rodriguez should of had been a burner, fight sucked. Total misread there. Winky was rusty, gets a flash knockdown and handicap just misses. Ouch.
I apologize if I led anyone down the wrong path, even though Kayode should have won this fight. He certainly won't be a 4-1 underdog next time, that's for sure.

Damn, both fighters sucked!...lucky to get a draw. Tarver, once a very good fighter needs to retire. Kyode has a ways to go. Very strong, not a smart fighter though. Hopefully, Roach can teach the guy a few things.

I had Tarver winning a close fight. Most boxing journalists on various websites agree. I really think Kayode was the right side to be in but some fights you just don't bet. This is a prime example..

I had Tarver up by 7 rounds to 5, but a draw is the correct outcome.
Kayode should enter a strong man competition, guy had a 3 1/2 inch REACH advantage and doesn't even jab, and when he did it landed... when he went to the body it landed. guy is a mental case.
No way in the world Tarver should have been 4 to 1, but sad when a guy cannot beat an old man who was there for the taking. You could literally see Tarver many times unable to PULL the trigger, 4 years ago Tarver would have finished this guy off easily.
Again anyone who had Kayote, he was a great live dog worth betting on, he just didn't do enough to TAKE the title away.
Tarver landed the heavier cleaner shots.
Thankfully most got their money back with the draw.
I say let's do a pacman/Bradley section... good to see some of the old faces on here!

Another great pick, Walk. To go against a favourite who was up to -500, and have the fight end in a draw shows that you were *100%* on the right side of the bet. Great work!
If you don't mind, could you message me the name of the other forum you referred to?
Thanks
