I am going to be honest here. I know NOTHING about Erislandy Lara, except that he is a Cuban former amateur World champion and fought a draw with Molina. Molina is one of those guys that it's hard to look against so that could be misleading.
I am thinking Williams might never be the same after what happened against Martinez. I am just wondering if he has the hunger for boxing anymore. He has been around awhile and the guy hasn't really achieved much (in the way of winning big money fights). I just wonder is he vulnerable to a hungry young fighter with a great amateur pedigree. Now, I know trusting Cubans that go pro is not the smartest way to bet...But I am tempted to take the +250 on offer an a hungry undefeated fighter with a solid amateur pedigree..
In the other fight I have to take Rios by KO. I can't see this being anything but a brawl.

I'm wondering the same thing. Why would they throw Williams back in against an athletic, undefeated fighter with some pop? As much as I like Lara in this fight (bet him a little while ago) I like the under 11.5 or "fight won't go the distance" prop being offered at around +155 much more.

I was asking about Lara's last [didn't see it] and the response was he got a gift and should have lost against Molina. Lara's plodding was noted. Decently credible sources.
Curious to see how Williams comes back after that ko.

I read that for Lara's last, he didn't train at all. He never showed up at Ronnie Shields' gym, instead staying home in Florida and not doing anything. Shields was in his corner for the fight, but didn't work with him at all leading up to the fight.

I'll be on the under tonight. And a side on Lara for kicks.

Lara is an pretty much an unknown to me. I just think Williams will outwork him but I know too little about Lara to doubt he can win a decision. Williams being KOd won't have a major effect on him as he is a realistic guy and hard worker. The main question mark is will the weakness in Williams defense has been exposed and maybe Martinez made the blueprint. Is Lara skilled enough to take advantage? I don't know. Sorry about late post as I just flew in. A fight I had no opinion on.

Lara must have watched Sergio tape and keeps the fight at medium range which Williams is exposed and can't connect. He needs in fighting or long range, otherwise he is open for shots at his opponents full extension range!

That was one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. I knew something was up when the 1rst judge had it 114-114. I feel badly for those that had Lara.
