If we have to watch another 5-6 years of him fighting like THAT... count me out. He is becoming Kelly Pavlik esque with the only weapons being the 1-2. Pavlik doesn't have a choice. Klitschko does. He's scored knockouts with devastating hooks in the past, literally throwing several in a row. Can he follow that jab with a straight right to the body instead of into a high guard? I can see why he wouldn't lead with it (fear of getting countered) but seriously throwing less than a dozen body shots through 9 rounds?
It's clear that he has become a well rounded fighter, easily the best since Lewis. However, he continues to go unchallenged. It was by no fault of his own that Haye couldn't fight. One thing is for sure - it would have been very entertaining.
It's clear to me that it will take someone that is brash, fearless, and confident in their own punching power to challenge either Klitschko at this point. This is where Haye comes in.
One glaring weakness of Klitschko's is that he backs straight up and stops punching when pressed. Ruslan didn't have the speed or desire to attempt selling out to get inside tonight. Regardless of the uphill battle it would take, Haye meets the criteria necessary to put an end to what could be the longest reign of a heavyweight champion in modern times.
One question remains... when will we get the chance to see it?

Take a CompuBox punch-count on how many times my boy Wlad goes to the body. Is there anyone champion that is this predictable; yet can not be beaten now that Manny Stew has "...put all of the pieces back together again?"
Wald was overly cautious. i.e. unwilling to hook with a Koufax. But could a Haye get inside that awesome Wingspan or Reach; and at what cost having to eat that cracking lead-jab?
& yes; I do agree ... Wald (even VK) remind me of #23 and da Bulls title years. Though no fault of their own they never beat an all-time team for the Championship. Wlad is the same way.

My guess is... maybe. He'll definitely be fast enough, probably the only advantage he'll have since he's basically coming up 40+ pounds. I'm pretty sure he'll try, because he is convinced that if he lands his "Hayemakers" on Wlad that he can finish him. Will that logic go out the window the first time he gets caught with said lead jab? Maybe. If he has ANY success early in the fight getting inside and landing, it could get very interesting. Although no heavyweight has the footwork of Mayweather, Wlad's movement and agility are questionable at best.

The only fighters who weren't either short counter punchers or washed up during Wlad's little title reign were Thompson and Brock, both of whom had their moments against him. He gets props for KOing them since they provided some sort of resistance, but Chagaev and them aren't doing it for me. Drummond and Chagaev spent six rounds staring at each other in February, so this was predictable.
Arreola's an aggressive big man who throws in combination. He may get put to sleep but at least he'd put up a fight. Povetkin would to a lesser extent (don't think he has the pop to threaten Klits) and Haye has a puncher's chance.

Why? He'll get KO'd inside of 6 rounds. He doesn't have the defense, stamina, or speed necessary to even matter. Or does he?
Arreola is certain to come right to him and make an entertaining fight. I hate watching Klitschko fight tomato cans, and I think enough people will give Arreola a chance to make Wlad ITD playable.

Agreed. "Wlad playable" is an oxymoron.
