I LOVE Klitschko in this one. This is one I most definetly will NOT be using "smart money management" (laughing).
I believe Klitschko's size (6'61/2" v Ibby's 6'2"), power, reach advantage, and jab will easily nullify Ibragimov's speedy hands.
It's hard for me to envision Ibragimov even getting close enough to hit Klitschko enough to do damage without paying for it, and if he doesn't respect Klitschko's power and tries to get in there anyways, I believe Ibragimov will be TKO'd somewhere around 5 or earlier.
Klitschko has had stamina problems in the past (drugged? I doubt it), but has worked long and hard with conditioning coaches to overcome these issues.
Ibragimov has a couple good names on his record, but fighting an aged Holyfield and overweight asmatic Shannon Briggs to a decision win does not impress. He does have a couple of early KO's, but these were against less than stellar competition. I really don't believe Ibragimov has the one punch KO power sufficient enough to take out Klitschko and won't hit him enough for an accumalation TKO or KO.
You could say that Ibrigimov had been fighting guys with poor records (bums) up until 2005, while Klitschko has been fighting guys with great records. Klitschko hasn't fought 1 guy with more than a 10% loss record since 1999.
I can see Ibragimov...If he plays it safe, POSSIBLY lasting the distance, but I believe his heart and determination will have him taking some risks at many points through the fight. My prediction is a TKO for Klitschko somewhere in the mid rounds (6-8)

Iggy is a Lefty, just like CS was, & he felled my boy Wlad like no bodies business. But Sultan only has 2 true KO's to show for it.
I've already parlayed Wlad a couple of times. But I get so nervey when he fights. I may just end it here & let them close (if they can). Maybe try an ITD on Wlad if the price is right. You might even say that any Wlad opponent ITD is worth a sniff?
Nice 10% stat snippets69, I DNKT.

Big, wouldn't you agree Wlad has improved more than a bit since his outing with Corrie Sanders? His loss against Brewster was do to conditioning. IMO This is the ONLY chance Ibragimov has in the later rounds, but I think it's worse than a slim one. It may be the biggest thing Klitschko has worked and improved upon...
Out of Klitschko's 52 fights... Only 3 of them went the distance. (Peter '05/Byrd '00/Martin '98). And I can't see Ibragimov knocking out Klitschko or hitting Klitschko enough for a decision, if he tries he's going to get KO'd. Ibragimov is quick, but not powerful enough. I see Klit inside the distance as more than likely...But the odds are probably going to reflect it.
Klitschko has had plenty of time to prepare for Ibragimov's left handed stance. I haven't kept up on his training camp, but he's got to be sparring with lefties more often than not.
Klitschko has smartened up and improved... I think Ibrigimov is way out matched in this one size wise, talent wise, power wise... The only thing Ibby may have is speed, but with the height, reach and power advantage Klitschko has, it won't help Ibby.
IMO, Klitschko is free money (no Karmazin jokes..Please). And I wouldn't waste a dime on Ibragimov inside the distance. Or a wink of sleep on any money laid on Klitschko in this one.
One thing I wanted to add, but forgot in the first post... They both have a recent common opponent. Ray Austin. Ibragimov was only able to fight him to a 12 rnd draw. Klitschko KO'd him in 2 half a year later. I know this is no solid evidence of anything...But it is does say something.

Improved? I'd call it this......Wald, courtesy of my boy Manny Stew has precisely maximized his offensive efficiency.
Which is actually a version of smoke and mirrors for hiding his main defensive inefficiency (a thin chin) behind a absolutely brutal, thunderous, hammering, lead (Left) jab. & guess what? It's reallllllllly difficult to get thru that Lead-Jab, unless the given Wlad opponent has an epicly long Reach, & can touch Wald from afar. Or a brutal chin himself to take 3-5 to get Inside to land his 1. Which needs to be big to justify the licks it will take to get in the phonebooth in the 1st place.
I would also add that Manny has perfected Wlad's in-Ring I.Q. Wald is very keen on when to back-peddle (as Manny has actually managed to apply a dose of oil to Wald's near former robotic legs); or when to clinch (near the ropes; where he can not back-peddle), and tie up the other guys arms in a bearhug of sorts, b/c it's tough to unlock from that given Wald's epic Reach edge. Ibby's reach=75``, Wlad's=81``.
The thing is snippets69, I've seen Wlad KTFO by what I consider to be inferior guys before. Perhaps very inferior. None of which has been via a Decision. & Southpaws are just not Wald's cup of Earl Grey. CS, LB who has a powerful left-hook (even as a righty), Sammy Pete w/ legit 2 fisted power. All dented Wlad w/ Lefts, Wlad is 2-2 vs. that group.
So I'm always in the edge of my seat nervous re: Wlad. Wlad is much much better, strategically than he was vs. LB. Granted. But he still has tactical chinks in his CCCP armor. & they still concern me.
I agry Wlad wins. I've already bet as much. But he's not one I can be sure of. & if I'm Ibby, I try to check Wlad's chin w/ a Left no matter what b4 the nite ends.

Glad to see you've done your usual boxrec black and white homework snippets. Your knowledge continues to blow me away.
As you pointed out they do have a common opponent in Ray Austin. The Ibragimov camp would want you to believe that the Austin fight was an aberration; that Sultan simply wasn't focused coming in heavy and the stamina/chin issues he showed that night can be attributed to that. I'm not so sure though, he had a lot of the same problems against Ahunanya in late 2005 in a bout that was televised on ESPN Deportes; Friday was able to cut the ring off and touch up Sultan with some success while also dropping him (not the "flashy" type either if I remember correctly). Sultan won a TD when a Friday cut caused the fights go to the cards, but I didn't have it as wide as the judges. Sultan just isn't very skilled defensively and is reckless coming in (not a good combination against Wlad). He was lucky that Briggs couldn't throw more than 30 punches in any round against him.
Like you said Bigeiii, Klitschko is still fragile, he has just masked it well post Peter due to his lack of opposition in his last 4 fights. I don't think it will be against Iggy (or Ibby for that matter), but you will see fragile Wlad reappear when his chin gets touched solidly again by a real puncher.who is willing to press Wlad into more than a sparring session.
I am interested to see where Wlad ITD opens up and what the under price does as the fight nears.

What is all this Ibby talk? Who is that?

Asian Sensation from boxingscene.com interviewed Wlad's camp and has confirmed that Wlad has been getting a lot of southpaw sparring. Emmanuel Steward feels Ibby's southpaw stance won't be a problem.

The article doesn't directly mention the sparring partners being southpaw, but I emailed Ryan and he replied with what I paraphrased in the above post.

Glad you're impressed dickweed. You're continuing to be a complete cocksocker keeps blowing me away too.
When was the last time Wlad was dropped BTW? I'm afraid my homework didn't cover this.
You can't deny it's the truth.
You mean your intense research on boxrec/message boards/internet print didn't lead you to uncovering this. Maybe watching a fight every once in a while might help. Wlad was dropped 3 times by Peter in route to winning a decision in 05.

You guys are pretty pathetic to talk about someone's wife like that. That's beyond uncalled for.
One thing that I have never done is ever taken any talk to a personal
level with anyone on this board, it's all been about boxing and topics
related to it. I may talk some smack and poke fun, but I would never resort to any personal attacks especially when it comes to something as sacred as marriage (well it used to be sacred). May God have mercy on your souls.
