This fight is a pure mismatch. Manny is forward puncher, not a boxer going against a much bigger and much better boxer. I'm looking at all the prop odds for the fight trying to get the best value. All the rest about Oscar being a part time fighter is ridiculous, he faired better than I thought against Mayweather. They can run all the commercials and hype about Manny being pound-for-pound, but he is stepping into a whole new game. He will no longer be the stronger guy in the fight. Oscar hand picked this fight for many reasons, first he didn't see the possiblity of losing and second the fight will sell. As far as pound-for-pound goes, I think Paul Williams should be considered. I'll post later on KO round props for the fight, as I don't believe Manny will make it to the final bell.

Manny is going to be punished by De La Hoya left hooks and jabs through out the fight. I don't feel Manny can move and fight, and standing toe-to-toe with Oscar is not in his interest. Let's take all the recent fighters Manny has fought, how would they fair if they were able to move up in weight and bring power up if they fought De La Hoya? Not well! The only fighter that was able to withstand Manny was Marquez, who used his technical skills. I read the posts about Oscar vs Forbes and Oscar looking old, but Forbes is a tough guy, just lack luster in offensive. Also, the rumors Manny was hurting sparring partners the size of Oscar, I heard that story once before when they said they couldn't find enough sparring partners for Tyson cause he was hurting them so bad (he had 7 at the time), while it may be true, it was nothing new, and when Tyson fought a real Heavweight that had boxing ability, he took a beating. I remember Oscar was in terrible shape against Felix Sturm, was overpowered against Hopkins, but looked impressive against Mayweather. Mayweather is a great ring technician, fast hands, strong, and has excellent stamina. Also, Mayweather is a great defensive fighter, Manny is not.. maybe against 130lbs fighter his great speed and strength may endure, but against a great ring technician like Oscar who will also be the bigger stronger guy, he just won't last. The last time I made any big money betting on Oscar was when he KOd Rafael Ruelas in 1995, otherwise I made it against him on Mayweather, Trinidad (that was a nice decision, lol), and the Mosley fights. Oscar is in great shape and will show it. Enjoy the fight!

Couldn't have said it better myself. It'll be De la Hoya in a tactical, technical mismatch. I think Pacman gets a boxing lesson tonight. He may be better for it down the road. But tonight Pacman gets the L. I think the end comes between rounds eight and eleven, only because Pacman will take punishment and show tremendous heart.

I felt rounds 7 and 8 will be the key. I feel after the 3rd round that Oscar's strength and his ability to measure Manny's speed that he will make his adjustments. After a few more heavy lefts from Oscar, their possibly could be a stoppage on cuts or swelling before the 10th. Manny is a phenom at lower weights, but his boxing ability has always been in question along with his balance. At a weight of 142, it's out of his league against a strong tactical fighter! I don't feel Oscar will weigh-in much higher than his 145 weight, maybe at 150 or so, just enough hydration to keep his stamina. Also, don't forget that Manny has had stamina issues in the past, he doesn't pace himself properly, and in this instance his heart will cost his body too much punishment!

This fight is all RaRaRa... like Jones-Calzaghe (lol). I like seeing great fights like Marquez-Pacquiao, Marquez-Vasquez, etc..., but this is not one of those fights. Manny is not a boxer. His speed, power and agility have kept him at the top of his previous weight class. His right hand can be neutralized, his feet are constantly out of position, he doesn't have a good jab, terrible defense, and that leaves him with a straight left. Do you think Oscar can defend that? He did against a guy called Mayweather.
