Margarito and trainer get a year ban

Taking into account what they were doing a year seems light.

I wonder if they can get criminal charges pressed against them?

I don't think any criminal charges will be filed.The fact that the Commission SIGNED off on it.He didn't get to use it in the ring, although he intended to. I would also take his purse away but being it was free and not on PPV, not much they will do. His career is over anyways. I think the trainer poses a bigger risk and should be BANNED. How many other fighters did he wrap like that?

So technically, that means that he's not allowed to fight in California only correct?  Also, what about something like a Military base/Indian casino like Tommy Morrison does to get around the rules?

There's ways around this I'd imagine. . .  I wouldn't be surprised to see them fighting somewhere else.  Hell, I don't see any reason they can't fight in Mexico or something.  However, I'm sure that would jeopardize their license reinstatement. . .

I know all about Billy Collins, sad to see what happened to him. I don't need a boxing history lesson. Resto actually USED it during the fight, Margarito did NOT,would he have? YES. Fact is Mosley didn't seem too bothered by it when interviewed on Friday Night Fights, he said well didn't make a difference I didn't get hit. Between Mosley not caring, and  Margarito never actually entering the ring with it on and the commission signing off on it can't see how they would go after him. His career is over, the trainer should be banned for life because no one knows how many other guys he's done this to!
