Martinez/Williams

I'm not sure why there isn't a "will go/won't go the distance" prop, as that would be my first choice. Maybe it will be available later..

I like Martinez in this fight, believe he's the better counter puncher, slicker boxer, and STRONGER.

Only way I see Martinez losing is from a clash of heads and the fight ending early.

I see nothing Williams can do to adjust to beat him "fairly" this time.

This comes from a Paul Williams fan :)

Just my take Have Martinez pending with as parlay so hopefully I hit.

Good luck buddy. I agree with Martinez as a side. I was waiting for a Martinez via KO prop, but it never came out.

I think this is where the public is somewhat blind to a simple fact: Williams makes little adjustments, and many go not noticed. When he fought Verno (and I know Verno personaly, regardless, just watch Verno's fights and see how tough he is) he got a huge headbutt w/ a viscious cut and it was blinding him. Williams fought inside so he wouldn't start every engagement with a huge dis-advantage and put on one the most punishing body assaults ever. He could feel where the punches were coming from.

The adjustment he could make (avoid the right hook) isn't going to happen. If Martinez can land that punch as much as he did in the first fight, he goes to sleep.

Late money all on Williams, but I also favor Martinez, if he can stay out of a slug-fest. He needs to move in & out, giving Williams angles with little chance to get set & throw his combination shots. Close fight either way.

Something very subtle happened in that fight, if you watch closely. The Referee breaking the fighters so fast was a big advantage to Martinez. Even though he has the shorter reach, he is much better moving in from the outside position. Normally the taller, longer reach guy has the edge when both boxers are fighting at a distance, but not in this case, because of Martinez's superior timing & technique. Everything worked out perfect for Martinez as he sometimes tires late in his bouts. Congratulations to all Martinez backers.

I quit capping mma a while back. Actually, Penn in Dubai was my last. He was a huge favorite too.

I don't bet MMA often. Now I remember why...

However, +39 units in the past three weeks in boxing. With several solid fights before the end of the year, anything catching your eye? Any thoughts on Katsidis/JMM?

I do like Abraham to get it done solid. JMM.Katsides, have to look a bit closer. I keep thinking how Casamayor did him dirty and JMM is fresher and a better boxer.

I was at the fight and the KO was way more brutal in person than the replay. Williams hit the mat ands jut flopped like a fish before there was no movement at all. Boardwalk Hall exploded when he got hit with that hook!

Penn: I was in 118, I'm amazed at how good the seats were for $120. I will definitely be attending any decent fights I can at Boardwalk Hall!
