maybe a publicity stunt for the DLH fight, still makes no sense for that fight not to happen after he got pissed at roger for wanting to train stevie forbes...maybe a ploy for more money on the contract with dlh...idk he's retired multiple times before but this is odd.

timing is interesting, mth and half before the cotto/marg fight when clearly everyone was gonna be really calling him out after to fight one of those two and now he retires before hand so nobody can.

Leave Floyd Mayweather  alone ..

Floyd has nothing else to prove

Roy Jones should have donw the same thing after betaing Ruiz..

Always leave at the top !! Enough said ...

For all of you that think Cotto can beat Floyd ..think again ..

Cotto never impressed me with his weak chin against Demarcus Corley.

It took his "compadre" referee Cortez to help him out

He has not done much against an older Mosley.

Not taking credit away from Cotto .. But Pretty Boy is the " real deal "

Cortez wasn't the referee in Cotto-Corley.

And if you guys think Mayweather is retired forever, then you have fallen into his trap.  He will be back, no doubt about it.  To go even further I still say Cotto-Mayweather happens though it maybe a couple of years.

Yeah, FB, PBF ain't just going to "retire" and never be seen again.  Dude's got way too big an ego to just disappear.  Yeah, yeah, I know he does other stuff (dancing, basketball, rasslin, probably tried acting/singing), but let's face it------he ain't jack s---t in anything BUT boxing, and he's $mart enough to know it.
 
People like PBF are in love with themselves.  If he just left boxing, his gigs in all that other crap disappear. 
 
PBF ain't going anywhere.....he knows damn well he couldn't stand not being "Floyd Mayweather" anymore.

Yeah, retire on top when they're still a few guys that you could fight to cement your legacy.  Not even DLH.  Why not fight Cotto?  Because he might have a chance.
 
I don't care what people say, Mayweather may be undefeated, but he never really fought anyone of name that had a legit shot...except DLH, the same guy that has NEVER won a big fight.  I guess beating guys like Corrales and Hatton make you one of the greatest.
 
As for Roy Jones, that idiot was the King of Ducking.  Duck B-Hop for 8 years.  Why?  Because he had a shot at beating him.  RJJ would rather fight Cops and UPS workers instead of top notch comeptetion, because when he did, he got fucked up.
 
I think Mayweather is very good, but they're still a few fights I'd like to see him fight.  Heck, even against DLH, he had a legit shot at losing.  It wasn't until the last 4 rounds that he pulled that out, and that was still shaky.

UFC may come a looking? big deal for a couple BS fights? Maybe ocasional  WWE PPVs, How can yo train for boxing after getting paid by WWE to dick around with the big show. Floyd figured there are easier ways to make money i guess? or hes got more than he needs somewhere in between?
