As stated on the Pacquiao/Marquez fight, I am not gonna write and write and explain myself.
Just one silly question....Who is gonna make the boxing powers more money? Joel Casamayor is on his way out, Katsidis in. If he doesn't get knocked out, the winner by split decision or UD will be Katsidis, bank it.
I am putting 1k on this fight to win 444.00
Good luck fellerzzzzz!!!!!!

That's a lot of chalk to lay on a fighter who's still considered a prospect and is making his biggest step up to date. Also, bettors may be reading too much into Casamayor's poor performance against Santa Cruz, whose height and reach advantages gave Casamayor problems. Katsidis doesn't have those same advantages, and he's never faced a boxer with Casamayor's technical acumen.

If this is what you base plays off of then you are a joke.
As I have touched on over the last month in various weekly threads.
Katsidis is young and very strong, yes, but what else does he have working for him. He hasn't fought anyone; he was KD hard in a slug fest with Earl who has since been dispatched of in one by Khan and he was in a brutal distance fight with Czar who's career hadn't been anything to write home about. Katsidis is a face first guy with no defense, limited footwork, and now a tendency to cut/swell. Translation; a fun fighter to watch, but not fun to bet on. The Gatti comparisons have something to them; he will make for exciting fights throughout his career, but his in-ring accomplishments won't be very high in my opinion.
Across the ring will be Casamoyer. He has a solid chin; never been stopped and only been down a few times. He's a master counter puncher who's very good technically and he will have a lot of openings to exploit with Katsidis's style. I guess the people who are betting up Katsidis are remembering the Santa Cruz fight; well I remember it too because I was robbed on the dog Cruz that night. That fight really doesn't mean much here though, Casamoyer's style is a perfect foil for Katsidis. Plus, it is always nice to read the reports that Katsidis has been struggling a bit in the gym with southpaws who know how to box.

I don't know how this figures into your money theories, but I forgot to add that Casamoyer is also the house fighter as Golden Boy Promotions is promoting the bout. Katsidis is co-promoted by GBP, but if I am not mistaken the majority of his promotional ties still lies with the smaller Northeast Promotions.

please dont say Casamayor's poor performance against Santa Cruz, whose height and reach advantages gave Casamayor problems. Casamayor has fought tall boxers in the past against Corrales and he did very good, if you watched the Santa Cruz fight he just looked horrible, his defense, he didnt throw lots of punches, in other words he is past his prime.Just like Eric Morales, he will not fight with the same energy, speed and condition like before.

I know that you weren't talking to me with height/reach points and rather A2C, but I felt the need to respond to the part in bold.
A 13 month lay off can do this, especially when the fighter is 36 and he is used to fighting every 4-6 months with 8 months being his largest gap before. When a fighter takes 13 months off, it's not just 13 months that he hasn't been in the ring it's also a big gap where he hasn't been in the gym.

Terrific posts Fullbrights, I was going to make a fairly blind bet on Katsidis until you stopped me last week. I've seen the light! We have a good thread going on at madjack's, I don't mean to promote the site, but it would be silly for me to copy and paste all my posts from there onto here.
I posted a lot of inside information from Cintron's former conditioning coach, I strongly suggest you read it before betting on Cintron. It is not flattering in the least. We all like Margarito down there.

Yeah, I remember that guy posting over at max or ESB after the Feliciano fight. I think his screen name was
"______conditioning", I wondered at the time though if his posts may have been influenced by bitterness a bit.
Don't worry I wouldn't bet Cintron here, he can't handle pressure at all. Margarito will make him cry again; I will be on Marg ITD.

Correct, it's conditioner101. There was a lot of venom to flip through before getting to the good stuff, especially about Cintron's hand, how he didn't train for Margarito, and his unstable personality in general. The speculation and Manny-bashing could be ignored.
There is an article where Cintron admits he had personal issues in this past and didn't train, but says he's 100% focused this time. Still, a 100% Cintron is about as tough as 60% Margarito.

FULLBRIGHTS. I still believe that with all the negative aspects of Katsidis' boxing style, he will prevail. The fact that Casamayor is a Golden Boy Promotions fighter doesn't actually mean much to me (i.e. Pacquiao/Marquez fight). Either way, he is a very strong kid and I believe his interest in winning the bout by any means necessary is evident. We shall see what happens tonight.

We did see.
You may want to rethink your "bet on who will make the most money" philosophy.
Busting your balls a bit, but betting on boxing is sooooo much more than that.

FULLBRIGHTS....ok, ok you were right! But as I stated, if he could stay on his feet, he might have won.......I did know that Casamayor was good and was a tough amateur in his day.......what did I know that he would come in and complicate my theory???? Well, he got ko'd! I guess he was being warned all through the fight to watch the left hand.........and by golly, the left hand sent him to bed. Well my brother, hope to hear from you soon.

Even if he stayed on his feet does he win? Casa was up 85-82 on one card and down on the other two 84-83 entering the 10th. Even if Katsidis survives you are looking at a 10-8 round with Casa leading on all three cards heading to the last two rounds with the momentum.
Your theory is very interesting I must say, take a 2-1 fave who "as you stated if he could stay on his feet, he might have won." That is mind blowing stuff, way to break it down.
Glad to see you made it back into the thread. All kidding aside, good luck on your next play.

If Pacquiao can win the 12th on one card against Marquez, I'd say Katsidis would still have been very much alive had he survived the 10th. He may not have even needed to land a punch.

We didn't have to worry about Duane Ford in this one. Not Ford's first time getting a 12th round score wrong, Bernard knows that all too well.
