Mitchell&#x27;s jab is working well but Katsidis comes forward and has the challenger on the ropes. The British fighter does well to get out of there. Again Mitchell relies on the jab in the centre of the ring, Katsidis is planning his next flurry forward. The Australian has not set the pace in the opening round, not as busy as we were expecting but he ends it on top with a flurry of big right hands. Mitchell may have nicked the opening round but it&#x27;s close.

Katsidis launched two attacks in the first round and his corner are demanding more. Mitchell again looks to the jab from the centre of the ring. The champion is again biding his time and is caught by a good solid jab, Mitchell opens up with a flurry of upper cuts and the crowd roar their approval. Another good combination from the challenger. Katsidis misses with a big right, the neater work is coming from Mitchell. Chants of &#x27;England&#x27; break out as Mitchell continues to box with a cool head. No effective work from the champion in this round but there&#x27;s a good right, Mitchell responds with one of his own. Another fast right from Katsidis, that&#x27;s a danger shot, now a left hook. Mitchell wants to get off the ropes, and he does, but he can&#x27;t allow himself to be bullied. Another round narrowly to the challenger - but Katsidis is warming to his task

Thats it. Big loss for me. He got into a tear up and got blown apart. When he boxed he looked great but he ended up fighting exactly like Katsidis fight. My apologies guys

Katsidis is an animal.  Tough for a guy without alot of power to keep him at a distance.  Laying on the ropes didn&#x27;t help Mitchell either.  Oh well.  If Campbell upsets Ortiz and Malignaggi KOs Khan, this could be the worst weekend ever.

&#xD;&#xA;Mitchell never looked good in this fight. As a former boxer Mack you should know that backing up gets your legs more tired than coming forward. Even without the big punches it was a matter of time before Katsidis&#x27; pressure got to Mitchell. Sorry dude but I thought Mitchell looked like he shouldn&#x27;t have been fighting for a title.
