Mosley fans, ask yourself this question

Mosely is hardly washed up, Mayweather is about the money. A name like Mosely will ensure him a big payday. If he wasn't going to fight Pac-Man who else would have generated a big pay day for him?

From an X's and O's standpoint I truely believe Mosley is going to get countered to death in this fight, especially since it will be him initiating the exchanges......that's just my opinion. However, I will say this, SSM hasn't really made the HUGE money that he could have throughout his career (for numerous reasons). That said, this is an extraordinary opportunity for him not only to cash a big check here, but a potentially bigger one versus Manny if he's able to win. That type of motivation for a fighter at this stage of his career can be dangerous. And I don't think you can play the "washed up" card with him yet as he's one of those guys that is in shape year round (they last longer in the sport). I'd be more concerned about his inactivity since he was unable to fight Berto in January. Age + long layoffs will serve as a bigger detriment than just saying a guy is old. 

He is clearly ready for this fight however, and he looked spectacular at yesterday's weigh-in (not that Money-May didn't). I agree with the poster that said the first few rounds are critical.....he can not afford to fall behind on the cards. I mean it's not like Mayweather is going to come to him. There will be minimal opportunities in this fight for Shane so he must capitalize on everyone. In essence, he has to fight a perfect fight to win. But he's wise and I think he's capable of doing so.

Floyd is making 40 million for this fight with Mosley to only 10 million for Mosley. A fight with Pac would have required a 50-50 split. Floyd is about the money and with a rematch clause even if he loses twice he stands to make 70-80 million. He already said he judges his legacy by the money he makes not the belts he wins. I think anyone who thinks Floyd runs over Mosley is way off. I like the over which I can get now at 3-1 and im taking Mosley because the odds are too juicy to pass up. IMO Floyd has hand picked his opponents and at this point in his career nobody is going to pay him the money he wants to fight anyone other then SSM or Pac. Put up or shut up time for Floyd.

In a recent interview with ESPN's Brian Kenny, Mayweather revealed that he will make an estimated $40 million off the upcoming bout. The number is so high, of course, because Floyd is the head of Mayweather Promotions, which is staging the event along with Golden Boy. Mayweather then does not relinquish any of his purse, as he is essentially his own management team.
