Finally watched it and it was done well but uncertain why they had to change the truth about his record. Understandably I know they have two hours and it makes it more dramatic condensing and mixing different parts into a shorter time period. One thing I do enjoy is when Larry Merchant sticks his foot in his mouth and shows what an A$$ he is. He was stating less than one minute before the end "This fight should be stopped... and for the fans". Glad he wasn't the referee as the KO was considered one of the greatest comebacks. I realize that almost everyone felt it should have been stopped, but clearly the movie made it appear more brutal than it was. I've seen so many more fights that should have been stopped. People felt Clottey should have been stopped by Pacquiao but clearly he wasn't hurt but rarely punched, as in the Ward-Sanchez bout, Ward was still fighting but appeared to be ineffective until a body shot 20 seconds before the big KO shot which Jones commented on. I'm not a major movie fan but Christian Bale is an excellent actor. I remember the movie "The Machinist". According to the DVD commentary, he lost 62 lbs, reducing
his body mass to 54 kilograms 120lbs. Bale wanted to go down to 99 lbs, but the filmmakers would not let him due to health
concerns. He trains harder for movies than some fighters do for fights... Now that is sad!
