I'm going to be completely honest I haven't seen much of Mares I need to watch more of him. From what I've seen he has no defense and is your typical come foward fighter who to land a bunch needs to eat a punch. that favors donaire and I would pick him by KO.

Ask some random guy on a poker table who Nonito Donaire is, and about 1/10 will know. Probably 8 or 9 in 10 know who GSP is. And the younger they are, the more they'll skew to MMA. That doesn't bode well for the future of the sport.
Wish it weren't so, but it is. Not hard to figure out why, either. What are we talking about here the last couple days? A) A blatant robbery in a nationally televised fight. B) How the most exciting match up might not happen even though both fighters want it. If you don't have a passion for one sport over the other, you'd be foolish to chose to follow boxing over MMA.
