I have mentioned this before and I believe that DONAIRE is currently the best fighter in the world, he just might be the best counterpuncher that I have ever seen in my life (and that includes salvador sanchez, roy jones and charley burley), he has good speed, power, has shown a solid chin, and is clearly one of the smartest fighters in the world, as for GAMBOA, blazing speed, good power, obviously one of the best pure athletes in the game, the question in this one is DONAIRE big enough to beat someone like gamboa? donaire mentioned that for his upcoming fight next weekend he came into training camp around 140lbs and he claimed that he was solid at that weight and not just putting on fat in between fights, their is talk of this fight, but donaire wants to fight the winner of agbeko vs mares 2, so I do not see this one happening within the next 18 months or even 2 years and at that point will gamboa still be able to make 126? or will he have moved up tp 130?, If gamboa is at featherweight when donaire decides to move up, then I will pick donaire in that fight, gamboa makes a lot of mistakes and the best counterpuncher in the world will make him pay, people picking gamboa will say that he is simply too big for donaire, that is the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about this fight, but as I mentioned donaire was a soild 140 entering his current training camp and is ready to move up, this is a close one, but I just think donaire's jab and counterpunching will be able to beat gamboa's speed and power. all of those blazing combo's that gamboa throws will be a liability in this one as he will be countered mid combo every time, donaire will shut down everything that gamboa tries to do. donaire is better, but this is also a bad style matchup for gamboa as well. counterpuching is the way to beat gamboa and no one is better at the countershot then donaire.

Donaire is very exciting. I think we have some good fights coming up in boxing and we should savor this. I wish I had HBO though! I have to get it soon.
