I'll wait for others to chime in before I give my opinion. Manny turned down a rematch when Marquez asked him in the ring. Bob Arum also declined Richard Schaeffer's offer of $6 million to fight again immediately at 135 lbs.

they'll be no rematch, top rank lowballed marquez 4 years in order for this fight not to happen and now pac-man has a reason to walk away...wont happen and even if it does marquez will not get a fair judging.

Okay right, let's forget about the cheating and wait for the 2nd rematch that will never happen.
To this guy scoring the fight, Marquez won rounds 1,2,5,6,7,8,11, and 12. That's 115-112. Someone try to convince 115-112 the other way is not a preposterous card.

Round 1 was certainly close. I had it for Pacman, but still had it 114-113 for Juan Manuel. It happens though. I had money on him, but I can't complain. He couldn't stay off the canvas and that cost him. It was a great fight and my guy didn't win. Oh well. Congrats to Pac backers

The fight at 135 would be more beneficial to Marquez, I'd give him a slightly better chance at winning. Pac might be a tad slower and a bit more open to the counter punching. If Marquez can carry his power, he would beat Manny, it's no mystery.
It's probably why there will be no third fight at 135.

It was a close fight and Manny got the benefit of the doubt in the from the two judges who scored the fight for him.
I had it 114-113 JMM, but with that said all it took was a judge seeing one round differently then I did to score the fight for Manny.
Do I think JMM won? Yes. Is this one of the worst decisions that has gone against me? No, this doesn't even make the top 10.
This fight was an even fight from the get go, that's why it was hilarious that people were taking Manny at numbers around -200 and calling it a value at those odds. It's people like that who make profits possible betting boxing. I will take +160-+180 every time in a fight I feel is a true pick-em or I favor slightly to my man; it didn't work out this time, but it will over time.
Seriously, why is Duane Ford still judging major fights? This guy needs a pink slip.

I've stated many times that a close fight is not necessarily a difficult fight to score. If they had alternated scoring knockdowns in 10-8 rounds all the way through, the only credible card would be a draw. I know this isn't what happened, but I feel strongly that Marquez carried rounds 1,2,5,6,7,8,11, and 12. That's 8-4, and the only round I might give Pacquiao in that set is 7. There simply aren't 3 rounds in there that can go the other way. This was certainly a bad decision. There have absolutely been worse, but I don't see how anyone can argue that this was a close fight that could have gone either way. The mere fact that both guys were in the fight to the end doesn't make it close enough that Marquez should have needed to sweep the last 3 rounds to win.

Completely agree with that statement in bold.
Why all three judges scored the first for Manny is beyond me, they must have been still trying to get to their seats after hitting the concession stands.
Watching it live I scored rounds 1,2,5,7,8,11,12 for JMM.
