Why? Because the fans want Pacman-Floyd.. but this "Interruption" by Mosley which is 100 % unlike him.. now will make people say " Mosley/Floyd" See how Pac-man was CUT OUT right away?

Bet your life it will be Mosley/Floyd and NOT Pac-man! Why? Pac-man cannot be BOUGHT!

Sorry but Mosley had his chances, when he beat Margarito what did he do? He was on top of the world, he didn't fight anyone.

When he resurrected his career after fighting Vargas twice, after his second victory over Vargas which came rather easily.. he said he needed to take time away .. and think about his future... he was going to take many months off.. what fighter does that?

He must look at his BOSS Oscar and blame him for NOT having fights, Oscar directs Mosley now.. Oscar gets first crack even though Mosley was better suited for the fight.

Oscar fought Floyd and Pac-man when it was MOSLEY who should of had that fight. He needs to blame himself because after beating Margarito silly he sat there and let other top fighters make fights!

I agree he is desperate now, he doesn't have much time left and he didn't parlay that big win over Margarito to anything.. except sitting ringside watching OTHER people INCLUDING Oscar fight the fights he was supposed to have.

I cannot help feel it was scripted, I mean Mosley was just happened to be standing there, where was Mosley when Oscar LOST to BOTH Floyd and Pac-man.? He didn't show his face why because he gets paydays for NOT fighting like Winky Wright did for many years.

Mosley will get this fight not because we as fans want it, it's because the promoters already put it in our heads... guess what Floyd will get a 60/40 purse... but since they are all partners now... who knows where the cash goes and how much is made.

Mosley has NO ONE to blame but himself, he was in the drivers seats TWICE in the past few years and guess who got those fights? Oscar his business partner.

Think about it, in BOTH fights against Floyd and Pac-man, Mosley belonged in there but Oscar somehow got in the drivers seat while Mosley was a passenger.
 

 

Having the best fighter in the world back active is making a 'mockery of the sport'?  WTF are you talking about?  You wouldn't pay to see him fight Mosley, Pacquiao, or Cotto? 

I agree Oscar is the bigger draw, hence why the fight was made for MONEY, not for the fans. Oscar got greedy BOTH times, when Mosley was supposed to be in there.

Mosley was NEVER a draw, why because he's a gentleman and doesn't trash talk.

It's why the whole scene with Floyd was a joke. Floyd shook his hand, and the camera panned away and suddenly they were arguing.. c'mon. Yes I do believe Shane would be a better fight than Pac-man, BUT just like Oscar Pac-man is the DRAW, NOT Mosley.

Pulling silly stunts like he did, is so out of character and a cry of desperation. Mosley was never a PPV draw and never will be, he NEEDS Floyd, too bad Pac-man will NOT be fighting EITHER man.

I would take Floyd over Pac-man also at any odds. Shane is the best right now style wise for Floyd and has been for quite a few years.

Again it's boxing fans NOT getting what they want, we all shell out PPV cash for fights we are brainwashed to want. NO realistic person truly thought  Marquez had a shot. NOT possible for a man to gain 10 pounds of muscle at his age and GET FASTER as he claimed.

I understand where you are coming from, and it does make sense  the bigger draw gets the fight, my point is Shane has NO ONE to blame but himself, price you pay for being Oscars Partner.


I can tell you one thing, that thing was scripted and was just a way to generate "hype"  for Mosley/Floyd.  Now there will suddenly be bad blood when everyone knows Mosley is a good guy and dislikes no one.


He deserves the fight, but as you said yourself the BIGGER draw gets the fight, that would be pac-man but I cannot see that happening... EVER!

Exactly - we was very pissed. Floyd is an actor at times, but he wasn't acting there. He probably saw his money flushing down the toilet since Mosley would be a huge fight, with some (very little) risk. Cotto is going to put mighty mouse to bed, so I'll settle for Floyd vs Shane.

I agree Pac-man would not match up well with EITHER Mosley or Floyd, especially Floyd.

We know Mosley tried to make a deal with pac-man he even let pac-man take a 60-40 purse, would drop down to the weight pac-man wanted, and pretty much anything except having sex with him.
He went on ESPN Friday Night fights to do this.


Us fans will not see Pac-man fight Floyd or Mosley, it will be Mosley vs Floyd.

I could see why everyone wants to fight pac-man it will be the biggest PPV and payday for the guy fighting him. No one can blame anyone for that.

Floyd and his champ have been dodging dangerous fighters his whole career. The Mayweather camp is notorious for setting up Floyd with smaller opponents, washed up or out classed fighters whichever they choose really depends on the pay day, period. The smaller the fighter the easier it is for Floyd to dominate on the inside, in turn, opens the door to his advantages which is his speed to counter punch or out jab the smaller fighter.

With that being said, Floyd pound for pound title/crown is rightfully so...

The 37 year old Mosley "calling out" was not scripted or rehearsed.  Mosley like everybody else is tired of Floyd dodging the bigger fighters.  If Mosley fights the same fight or ass whoopin that he did against Margarito, then Floyd is in for a very long night.  It's time for Floyd to step up and fight someone your own size.

I would love to see Pacman beat him up but first he has to get through Coto and that wont be easy. 

Floyd never dodged any fighter, boxing is about MONEY why would he fight at that time Margarito for $8 million, when he could get $20 million?

Realize Shane Mosley was LOSING to Ricardo Mayorga to many people until he KO'd him with 1 second left in the 12th.

Yes the SAME Ricardo Mayorga that everyone used as a punching bag to come out of retirement, Oscar and Tito used him as punching bags.

Pac-man can be said the same about, he has fought 3 washed up fighters in a row and gets crowned P4P.

I love Pac-man but he is being guided in the wrong direction for BOXING fans, Freddie Roach is hand picking fights that display Pac-man's abilities and offers NO competition in return.

Then again it's about MONEY he became a household name by being the fighter we wanted to see, but in reality the past 3 fights since the "move up" have been far from what Pac-man fans want.

Shane Mosley had his chances to fight everyone, he let Oscar take the fights, when Oscar was washed up.

Shane wasn't calling anyone out and never has.

Floyd was on ESPN  last night during the Football game, and he said they tried to make the fight twice once in '99 but Mosley refused, and once before he retired, and Mosley refused.

Now Mosley wants it?  Why didn't he call out Floyd after Floyd beat Oscar?

You don't call OUT people during an interview, you clearly see Floyd was answering questions and Max Kellerman who I love set him up, Shane plotted this BEFORE the fight, which means "Scripted".

Floyd shook his hand and said tonight is my night, let's negotiate. I understand the tactic being USED by Oscar sending Mosley to do that, so the public forgets Pac-man Floyd... and now focuses on Mosley as that gets headlines and people start talking.

Flat out it was scripted, Mosley was seen in MANY camera angles before the interview, and you don't get "angry"  because you don't get the fights you want and do that, it defies logic.

Like many have said if it wasn't scripted, it was a severe act of desperation on Mosley's part.

Mosley was never a PPV fighter, unless the fighter he was fighting was the PPV DRAW.

Pac-man wouldn't have a chance with Floyd, the fight will never happen but if it did Floyd would easily beat him. Don't be fooled in the past 3 wins by Pac-man, remember the SAME guy who Destroyed Marquez last week, is FLOYD.

Marquez could easily be 2-0 against Pac-man at 130, how can anyone conceive Pac-man can WIN against Floyd!

Paul Williams is the only person who can give Floyd a loss, and Williams probably will not fight at 147 ever again.
