2006 Results (March-July): +19.2 units (+$1,920)
2007 Results: +42.25 units (+$4,225) Last two weekends played: -1.2 units (-$120) 2008 to Date: -13.64 units (-$1,364)
Back again after a wasted weekend last week watching my Clemson Tigers. What a joke that was. Haven't played anything since Ndlovu, Didn't want to dig up the old thread, but I saw where a couple of the regs thought it was definitely Beltrans. I guess I am in the minority, but I honestly wasn't worried when the decision was about to be announced especially with the point deduction. I thought that Ndlovu landed the harder cleaner shots throughout, I guess the house promoter edge didn't do him any favors. Oh well, water over the bridge.
Only on two plays right now, should have played the Reyes-DeMarco under earlier when it was around +220, but I had to settle for +190. Reyes's chin is way below par and Demarco is pretty aggressive, I think he puts Reyes to sleep tonight. Also, I am on the under in the Diaz-Kats fight. With a fight that will be contested at close quarters a lot could happen so I am going to stay away from the side. That said, it's hard to think that Katsidis's face won't be pretty busted up by round 5 and we all know his face really isn't durable. Maybe it's a square play, but i really don't see that fight making it to the 11th. I know it's not a popular pick here, but I will also be on Barrios, but am waiting to see how far the odds will drop. Rocky is just one of those come up short fighters in my mind, he has just never had "it." I see the points on Barrios's inactivity and wild style, but I think he outworks Juarez all night. I like the Rudy Perez pairing also, though Rudy wasn't much luck when I backed Martin Castillo earlier this year.
1.5 units on under 9.5 rounds (+190) in Reyes-Demarco 2 units on under 9.5 rounds (+110) in Diaz-Katsidis

1.5 units on under 9.5 rounds (+190) in Reyes-Demarco 2 units on under 9.5 rounds (+110) in Diaz-Katsidis
1.5 units on under 9.5 rounds (+190) in Reyes-Demarco
1.25 units to win 1.3 Kirkland-Cortez under 5.5 (-230) Guzman (-235) vs Campbell
Kirkland was the usual Kirkland, very aggressive and even a bit more reckless. It will catch up to him at some point, but not against opponents like Cortez. Stoppage was too early, but the end was coming very soon anyway.
Well, Reyes showed his bad chin once again, but I have to give him a lot of credit for really making Demarco uncomfortable the second half of the fight. That KD in round 3 was not of the flashy type and there was a lot of time left; he had bad legs for close to a minute, but Demarco showed horrible finishing skills. Then Demarco hurts Reyes with another right hook at the end of round 4 and he just throws him down. That second half was different story though, he really dug down and Demarco was completely lost not being able to find his range during most stretches. I gave Reyes 4 out of the last 5, but i had the same score as Farhood; Demarco by a point.

Went ahead and took my stab at Barrios and the under, trusting my instincts hear against some of the solid covers guys. Plus, I added a couple of parlays. Most action I've had in quite some time.
3.6 units on Barrios (-120) 1.5 units on Barrios-Juarez under 11.5 rounds (+220)
1 unit to win 2.89 Diaz-Katsidis won't go (-185) Barrios (-130) Guzman (-235)

This referee is a joke in the Juarez-Barrios fight. Juarez's pants are pulled up high already and he seems to be dead set on helping out his countryman.

This is a complete and utter joke. If I lose this fight it is because of Juarez's best friend the ref. The guy has his trunks pulled up like DLH and all of these shots are right on the belt line.

This reminds so much of Juarez's fight with Zahir Raheem in Houston, horrible refereeing. Well maybe it doesn't matter looks like Barrios may be completely pooped.

Well, props to Juarez backers. This sucks, at least I won some back on the under. The fight went like I thought for 10 rounds, then the idiot came out. Well, now I hear it wouldn't have mattered anyway with these Houston scorecards that Papa just read. What a joke, I guess I gave away my money anyway with these judges who were in cahoots with the ref. Thank you for stopping him now Rocky, you eased the pain big time.
Maybe the Diaz under will come in for me. Again props to Juarez backers, good job factoring in the Houston connection. I didn't think it would be that obvious that Rocky was in his hometown.

Horrible night to say the least. I thought the ring doctor might save me after round nine, but yeah that wasn't happening tonight. I still can't believe the Barrios fight, I know it's a moot point because of the stoppage, but you have to hate making a bet that never had a chance due to judges/referees.
Let's see....Lost 5.7 units for the weekend and I'm left licking my wounds. Looks like most of you fared well, but not the idiot typing this.

A couple of tough breaks, FB. I had Barrios cruising to a decision at the time of stoppage. It seems the refs and the judges were conspiring to have Juarez and Katsidis go home winners. Really an investigation should be launched.
I hit the Diaz over but I certainly was wishing I had the ITD during the first six rounds. Ronnie Shields helped me out because Diaz could have stopped Katsidis if he wanted to open up a bit more. Cuts were also a major issue. It was luck that that went over.
Plenty more action upcoming to make money on.
