2007 Results: +42.25 units (+$4,225)
Last two weeks: -.35 of a unit (-$35)
2008 to Date: -11.57 units (-$1,157)

I've had some internet problems the past day and a half.  Feels good to be on-line again.  Some tough matchups this weekend.  So far I am only down on tonight's FNF main event, but I have a couple of outcomes I am leaning towards that I haven't pulled the trigger on.  One being playing DPDL ITD along with Juan-Ma by decision with the higher profits hanging on Lopez.   Any strong takes on anything? Anybody else loving Lockett as a big dog?  JK. 

1.10 units on Ngoudjo by 12 round decision (-110)
.25 units on DRAW (+2700) in Ngoudjo-M'baye
I think we see a close distance fight tonight and Ngoudjo should get some nice treatment tonight from the scorecards.

I think I'm going to make a small play on Forrest ITD tomorrow just for funsies, but otherwise I think I'm just going to be on the UFC card.

Thanks Canadian Doc.  That eye definitely got bad fast and it didn't get any better throughout, appreciate your leniency.  I guess all Herman needed was one eye anyway, he out hustled M'baye to win 116-112 on my card.

.25 of a unit on Sinclair (+850) vs Petrucci
Sinclair does have KO power and a large height edge here.  I don't think he should be this big of a dog in this spot against the unproven Petrucci.  Though the last time I saw him he was stopped by that weird shot on FNF.

.25 of a unit on the DRAW (+2600) in Mora-Forrest
Maybe I hit my Draw jackpot after some close calls.

1 unit on Juan Manuel Lopez by decision (+300)
I decided to just go solo with Juan Ma by decision.  I think he squeaks out a close one as long as he doesn't let DPDL take it off of activity alone.  DPDL will be very dangerous early, hopefully Lopez will get into his rhythm quickly.  I went with thegreek decision play at the lower line because I think butts pose a decent chance of opening something up in this one.

I don't know what to think of Quintana-Williams.  Tough fight to call IMO.  I can see why both sides are being backed, maybe a bit more for Quintana backers.  I think it's very close again.

Don't know much about those UFC guys you mentioned, but I did see where Alves came in overweight.

DPDL to win, his chin is just too strong
Paul Williams is serious this time, he was embarrassed.
Kelly Pavlik and the under, this could be stopped by the ref
Vernon Forrest is long in the tooth but Mora is perfect at this time.
 
Best Bet is Paul Williams reclaiming his belt

SHO show starts at 9 so i guess ill watch WIlliams , then the HBO stuff then back to Vernon on the TIVO

Good luck to you on all but DPDL.  I agree his chin is top notch, that wasn't what I was banking on being the reason he loses.  I think Juan Ma has the power to keep him honest and the quicks to outscore him.  I have absolutely no feel for the Williams-Quintana fight, it just depends on if you think that Williams completely underestimated him and if so can he adjust because Quintana was landing cleanly all night.

Reads like Sinclair lost a UD of the competitive variety.  I knew he wouldn't be winning a decision there anyway,  I wonder if he ever hurt Petrucci.

What a statement by Juan Ma.  I thought he would win, but not like that.  One thing I thought DPDL did have was a solid chin.

Forrest was a dead man walking late.  My draw has a chance here.

What was that bullshit DDPL was doing prior to the start of the fight?
He was making a sweeping motion from side to side.
 
FullBright, you cannot come any closer to the draw without cashing.

Yep turned out to be a short night of boxing.  Pretty wild that three fights didn't get past the 3rd with two ending in the 1st tonight.

Yeah, we all knew Pavlik would dominate, but I did think he may at least see the 5th.  Lockett got beatdown bad.

Forest was just dead, from about the 8th round he was running on fumes.

i ended up watching the 2 SHO fights then pavlik then the 1st hbo fight...not too many rounds of action for 4 fights

 

the 2 1st rd KOs were exciting though
