Lock this in as a top win for the underdog here in Lopez. Anyone who has seen Ponce De Leon knows he can look great and then not as evidenced in his last fight when he lookt bloody awful...Lopez the two fisted bomber has a great opportunity to snatch the title catching this hot and cold champ at the right time...

I thought that the only reason he looked bad against Escobedo was because Escobedo never really engaged the fight, as he was content to throw few punches while staying at a safe distance. DPDL still won that fight because he landed more punches, and if Escobedo ever engaged the action, he probably would've gotten KTFO, just like Bautista. Somewhat ironically, the only way Escobedo could've won would've been by engaging the action (which results in the likely KTFO), so in reality he just chose the path that made him look the best possible in a losing effort.
We don't know how JuanMa will take the DPDL power shot. And if he doesn't engage DPDL, then DPDL likely takes the decision. Honestly, I was expecting DPDL to be favored by a bit more in this one, although JuanMa could win if he has the chin to take the DPDL shots, plus the power to make DPDL respect him (which is a lot to ask given DPDL's iron chin). I think that's a lot to ask on an unknown commodity who's priced at mediocre dog odds at +180. (I've actually seen JuanMa fight live against Hugo Dianzo, and even though that ended in TKO, it was due to a doctor's stoppage based on a gash on the side of Dianzo's head. Dianzo really didn't seem all that fazed by JuanMa's shots, and it looked like it was going the distance until Dianzo's head got especially gory).

Wow I wanted some action on the fight (not knowing anything about the two) but thanks to Emmanuel Steward talking up the underdog I layed 2 units on the Juan Manueal and less than 3 minutes later I have 3 more units in my account. Today has been a great day for me

Wow, I could not believe Ponce de Leon couldn't get out of the first round. I think this might of been the only title fight I've seen where the champ gets TKO's in Round 1.
