Paul Williams trainer, George Petersen, recently told fightnews that Team Williams is considering Bhop for their next installment.
"We will take that fight all day long at a catchweight. One of Hopkins' main strengths is that he intimidates people. Paul would not be intimidated. First thing we would attack is his head [lol]."
"Calzaghe really put it on Hopkins down the stretch of their fight.
Those volumes of punches are nothing compared to what Paul would throw. If our people who make the final decisions on these matters approached me with this offer, the answer is ‘yes’ all day long.”

Paul "The Punisher" pound for pound best!!! Most feared fighter in the game right now.....a freak of nature who throws tons of punches and fights the 12th round as if it were the first....unbeatable

Whoa.... slow down there buddy. This sounds very similar to what everyone said after Margarito beat Cotto. He isn't nearly as good as he looked against an older fighter with zero punching power. He isn't nearly as bad as losing to Quintana. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

If anyone can make fighters I thought would rule the ring look like complete shit, it's Bernard Hopkins. Williams isn't as ring smart as Hopkins, Hopkins maintains GREAT shape all the time, and he's got more power than Wright. . . I certainly wouldn't put it past Bernard to own Pdub convincingly on the right day

There is no possible way that bhop beats williams. An over 40 hopkins vs a young kid with all the intangibles to become a great fighter would spell doom for bernard..just cant see bhop outworking him and as for a knockout, hopkins last k.o. came against de la hoya. pavlik was tailor made for hopkins, a slow guy who stands in front without much movement. williams would move bernard around the ring throwing punches from every angle and the height would give bernard fits. i mean this is the same bernard hopkins who lost twice to jermain taylor, the same jermain taylor that some people are doubting this week against a non household name fighter froch.

LOL I agree but maybe a little higher than the "middle". He mentioned unbeatable but I guess he didn't see the Quintana fight, because Paul lost an easy one sided fight.
Is he feared? Yes? WHY? Because he can throw punches from any angle, his reach is crazy 82 inches, 6'1 can fight at 147 154 or 160!
He actually USES his JAB and can pack a punch when he sits on it.
His Stamina is a freak of nature, but he did LOSE to Quintana, and that puzzles me, he didn't even look like "Paul Williams" didn't really throw punches, looked like he was drugged up or something.
I think that one blemish on his record makes him a hungrier fighter and he is trying to prove people he is the best, maybe he will be one day, but that one loss was probably something OUTSIDE of boxing and boxing does NOT care about your personal life, you need to leave that OUT of the ring.
