Roy Jones tune-up fight against the local "champion" Danny Green. Jones set to face Hopkins in March assuming they both take care of business. My money is on Jones doing so in impressive fashion.
Roy Jones vs Danny Green UNDER 11.5 +165
Green is a KO machine and will be looking to make a statement in front of his home crown against Jones who we all know has a very susceptible chin. Jones has already gone on record saying he is only taking this fight for the money and also "claims" that he is going in for the kill. While I don't necessarily see Green KOing Jones ( even though 5 of his last 7 haven't gone the distance ), there is always that possibility that we will see the unforgettable scene of Jones tasting the canvas as so in his fights versus Tarver and Johnson.
I had the UNDER as the favorite in this one so passing up on this play would be insane in my eyes. Just my opinion..
Stay thirsty, my friends

Do not donate your money. This one is going the distance and Roy takes a wide UD. Green is very rugged (Roy wont stop him) while Green will spend most of the night trying to hit Jones flush. Jones handpicked this fight. You think he'd fly to Australia if you actually thought this guy could beat him? Especially with the big $ fight with Hopkins looming? Even at 40, Jones is on another planet from Danny Green, who is too slow to catch up to him.
Say what you want about Roy, but he takes care of business against fighters of this caliber. Green is no better than Jeff Lacy or Anthony Hanshaw, and Jones romped both guys.
Tarver and Johnson were able to shock Roy, but both guys were prime time guys at light heavyweight and very solid at the time. Green is in either of their leagues at the time they beat Roy.
Green is too slow to catch up to Roy, but also very, very sturdy. Never been knocked down and Jones has not shown much power in his advanced age.
Roy knows Green's only chance is to KO him so he will box him all night, have a safe night's work, get outta there in 1 piece and prepare for Hopkins.
Play on Jones by DEC when that prop comes out. That's the play.

Yeah that is the obvious play and a highly likely outcome, but I'd rather take good plus money and hope Jones breaks him down or as I stated get's caught. Roy decision will still be juice and I don't have enough confidence in a near punch drunk Jones to bet on him

I get the sense this fight is more of an exhibition for the Australian fans than anything else. Jones by decision would be my play here.
Correct
Every boxing fan in my country is fully expecting Danny Green to lose this easily, even the people going to the fight realise he's not gonna win.
Danny Green is a tough mofo and has alot of heart but in terms of actual boxing ability he is pretty average,if Roy Jones can't beat Danny Green i'll go to the aiport and laugh at him on his way home.

I would stay way from this fight Roy Jones hand picked this opponent.
-350 is a lot to lay on a washed up fighter. Even at this stage Roy is better than Danny Green.
Danny Green green is very hittable. Roy is going to Green's Home country for a reason.. it will SELL because in the states Roy cannot sell anymore... but Danny Green is very popular there and it's big money for Roy.
MY pick would be NO pick, for $1 parlay me Roy and the OVER.
Seriously this fight is a joke to boxing. You know your career is over when you agree to fight Danny for the "GREEN" :-)

Agree with A2C and rzagza. Only one way to bet that fight is Jones via decision.
Yeah...agreed. If Jones is fighting oversea's then you know Jones has something up his sleeve. I really hate Jones these days and would love to see him get stopped, but he doesn't have a bad chin by far. Tarver had his eyes closed when he threw the ko punch and Jones fought Johnson way too early after getting k'd.
